Kyoto Station is a 15-minute drive from this property. The staff are very welcoming. Not all of them speak English but they all made extra effort to communicate and make sure we have a good stay.

A snack bar and drinks vending machine are available at this ryokan. There is an on-site hot spring open-air bath, 2 indoor public baths in addition to a sauna facility. Massage service is also provided at a surcharge. Luggage storage is offered, while laundry service is offered at an additional charge. Exceptional place with a great public bath. I don't recommend the breakfast option if you haven't tried Japanese breakfasts before.

The rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV. All rooms include a private bathroom with a bath and bidet, with bathrobes and slippers provided. For your comfort, you will find free toiletries and a hairdryer. Luck You Kyoto features free WiFi throughout the property. Amazing staff, super nice and very helpful: we were offered tea and sweets when we arrived, they also helped carrying our luggages to our room and provided many information about the surroundings and Kyoto in general. You can use the onsen in front of the hotel for free, it had many bath, a sauna, truly amazing ! The room was a traditionnal japanese tatami mat one, you have different options for your futon, it was very comfortable. Breakfast was also very good. We felt very welcome and had an amazing stay, thank you !

Situated a 10-minute walk from lively Kawaramachi area, Kyomachiya Ryokan Sakura Urushitei offers Japanese-style accommodation with modern facilities and traditional design. It provides a tour desk and a bar on the ground floor. Free WiFi is available in all areas. Had an excellent stay! Girls at the reception know English well, give plenty of information on the surrounding area, are very polite and accommodating. Room was spotless, and so are the other hotel facilities. Internal design is an interesting mix of a traditional style and modern conveniences

Seikoro Ryokan is located in Kyoto, a 7-minute drive from JR Kyoto Station. Featuring traditional Japanese-style accommodation, it offers a public bath and massage services. Free Wi-Fi access is available at the entire property. This was my favorite hotel. Unfortunately, when I arrived, I was sick from food poisoning and could not enjoy it to the max, but the staff was extremely good to me. I cannot thank them enough. The futon beds were extremely comfortable, all the structure really took me back to almost 200 years ago. I really wanted to get the traditional breakfast, but I was too sick so I got the western one that was delicious. Cant wait to be back.

Ryokan Sumiya Kihoan offers a hot spring bath and a hot tub, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Kameoka, 13 km from Oyamazumi Shrine. This 4-star ryokan offers a lift and free shuttle service. There is a restaurant serving Japanese cuisine, and free private parking is available. The staff were wonderful - we had to reorganize our check-in time several times, and they were really nice and helpful. They even helped us send our luggage straight to Tokyo and were very attentive about a gluten allergy one of us has. The food was a solid 10 out of 10. We had an outstanding dinner and a traditional Japanese breakfast with all the small, beautifully presented dishes.

Towels and bed linen are provided in the ryokan. The accommodation offers an air conditioning, a heating and a private bathroom.

The ryokan serves a vegetarian and vegan breakfast and breakfast in the room is also available. This place is absolutely marvelous as located in beautiful temple. Everything was perfect: we were greatly welcomed, the room was incredible. The breakfast was delicious. Many thanks to our host that was so kind and so helpful (parking space, cleaning up our luggage...etc). This is a place that we wish we could stay longer! We were invited at 6 am at the temple ceremony, it was a great experience. Many thanks to our host.

This was our nicest hotel during our two weeks trip in Japan. Very beautiful, spacious room with a little garden, super friendly staff, and location in a lively neighbourhood. Would stay here again!
