It was a lovely stay, place is well maintained although built in the 80s or 90s so furnishing represents that era. Onsen was lovely with different options and the water temperature was quite hot. Its an elaborate traditional japanese breakfast spread with lots of tasty dishes. I would recommend the place and you feel very relaxed after the onsen and they provide lots of little snacks and ice-cream which was a bonus with the kids. It is quite off the main road and the onsen itself is the destination.

The service when we arrived was absolutely stellar, on top of the amazing hospitality shown Yukiko-san asked about our itinerary and provided us with additional preparatory information which was an absolute lifesaver after the long drive! When we went into our room we found our coats already hung up and its these little things that make the service just so impressive. I also had to wake up the poor staff at around 12AM because we wanted to drive to a konbini nearby, but he was so helpful about it.
The room itself was extremely luxurious, warm and comfortable. Everything was extremely clean and well-kept, and my favourite thing was the open-air bath which we were able to enjoy multiple times.
The dinner was absolutely top-notch and extremely good value for what was paid. The ingredients were fresh and quality, but the culinary skill applied was nothing short of perfection. One of best meals I've had in Japan and I come very often.

The snowy landscape of the river and mountain slope at this ryokan is beautiful beyond words. The view from our River-view room is awesome and totally worth it. Madam boss is very hospitable and there was a great variety of food at every meal. The beef shabu shabu was melt in the mouth beef and portions are generous! The public onsen was nice especially the outdoor one though a little small but most of the time, you have it to yourself.

Yuzawa Denkiya is beautiful traditional Japanese style hotel. Our family loved sleeping on tatami and enjoyed the little extras like the tea and Japanese biscuits provided. We also loved the indoor and outdoor Onsen. The staff were very kind and we were given fresh towels and wash cloths daily. What a treat. There is a convenience store a couple of hundred metres down the road and vending machines everywhere of course. Love this place and look forward to coming back.
A nice Ryokan in Myoko, a little dated but quite comfortable. The rooms are spacious were were a family of 3 adults sharing a room and we all had plenty of room. Trditional futon sleeping, futons were a little thin for our comfort but the doona cover was lovely and warm. The hosts are very friendly people, nothing was too much trouble. There is a public onsen and a private onsen. We booked the private bath and it was wonderful. We had a Japanese breakfast one morning and it was delicious! The staff were exceptionally friendly
Authentic Japanese style tatami room and bed. Location is good and the food provided are awesome. Open air private onsen is provided in the room. Definitely worth the price
Futon on tatami is at acceptable thickness, so we consider it comfortable. Toilets available every floor, 2 public bathrooms and hot bath located at ground floor, sometimes might need to queue if happen to be full booking that day. Breakfast and dinner available upon request. 5 minutes walk to ski lift, Satoshi-San pick up and fetch us to train station. Will be back on next ski season probably.
The onsen was lovely the room was really nicely decorated ( Japanese style) tatami and futons
The accommodation is close to Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski resort, and they offer free transportation to and from the ryokan. You can also use the facilities like the onsen, dry room or have them transport you to the shinkansen station until 6PM after checking out.
Once we got settled in, we liked the private onsen booking feature so that we could, as a family, bathe together. The breakfast selection was really great and we all slept super soundly in our tatami room. Very good base for a ski holiday.
Great location within walking distance to station ski rental just across the street Delicious breakfast Onsen facility very nice with free loppies and Ramen Clean room Beautiful Yukata
the traditional room was spacious, and has a great view of the mountains. you can experience the Japanese lifestyle wearing Yukatas and sleeping on futons which were so comfortable, and you can keep your shoes on all the way to your room. the onsen was great, especially the outside one when it was snowing. the kids had fun in the games room even though it cost me with those skill testers. bars are great too with nice beer on draught.
