The private outdoor onsen was simply spectacular, offering a serene and private escape. It felt like having our own private villa in the heart of nature. Yufuin itself is a charming town, adding to the overall magic of the stay. What's even more surprising is the affordability of this luxurious retreat. Having stayed in much pricier onsen resorts before, this one stands head and shoulders above the rest. I can't wait to return to this little piece of paradise in Japan. Highly recommended!

Close to train station, walking around 5 min hotel is very comfy and staff friendly, breakfast in western style and delicious, really love this place will be back again when visit Yufuin. The staff members were very gracious, the meals were amazing, and the accommodations were beautiful and comfortable. We loved our private onsen. We can't rave enough about Ryokan Fukinoya, definitely a highlight of our trip!

We loved everything about this ryokan! The room, the onsen, the food, and the service were all excellent. We felt as if we were staying in a 5-star hotel with very attentive and considerate hospitality. The generous and delicious kaiseki dinners and the abundant teishoku breakfasts were a highlight. This is truly a place where you can eat well and completely relax.
