Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park is a 15-minute drive away. Beautiful garden, big rooms, fantastic Onsen, near the monkey park, very nice staff with decent English, awesome food. In short, everything. Best place we stayed in Japan.

This ryokan provides free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. Guests also enjoy access to the hot spring bath and hot tub, as well as the public bath and open-air bath. This is probably one of the best ryokan in japan! High value! The onsen is very spectacular. It will stay in my heart forever. For sure I will come back.

This 3-star ryokan offers free shuttle service and full-day security. The ryokan features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. A well kept traditional inn run by particularly lovely and accommodating hosts. The supplementary breakfast was exceptional, served in an authentic manner and featuring 8 or nine individual dishes made with care.

A 5-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Tawaraya offers Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. Guests can relax in the indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths and wear colorful Japanese Yukata robes. Massages can be requested for an extra cost.

Tawaraya Ryokan is a 10-minute drive from Snow Monkey Park and a 15-minute walk from Heiwa Kannon. Shiga Kogen Ski Resort is a 30-minute drive away. The property was very cosy, it was a lovely experience to stay in an original ryokan, and have a quiet time in the onsen. The staff was extremely kind and friendly, and the location was just a short walk from the train station.

Minshuku Miyama provides a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 3 km of Jigokudani Monkey Park and 13 km of Ryuoo Ski Park. With an open-air bath, the 2-star ryokan has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. Guests can use the spa facilities, or enjoy mountain views. We loved everything! From the kindness of the staff to the incredible room, the comfortable bedding, the quiet environment, the facilities, the meals!

At Daymaruya Ryokan, guests can enjoy hot-spring baths and traditional Japanese-style accommodations with free wired internet access. A free shuttle is available from Yudanaka Train Station, which is a 5-minute drive away. We LOVED our stay. The owners and friendly, kind, helpful and welcoming. Our room was large with a private wash closet. (Shower room is common). They picked us up and dropped us to the train, took us up to the snow monkeys and offered suggestions and advice about locations in town. They are always kind and we were happy to run into them in the hallways and say hello. They have male and woman baths and a private osen also available. You can place your order a traditional breakfast in advance of the morning if you want one. They have a map of the local area with recommendations for food. We really enjoyed our stay.

Offering a free-use reservable hot-spring bath, shared indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths, and traditional multi-course dinners with Shinshu beef, Shibu Hotel is 8 minutes from Yudanaka Train Station on the free shuttle. The traditional rooms have Japanese-style futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. Owners and staff are extremely pleasant and kind. Onsens were wonderful. We booked a Japanese room and it was huge! And the free shuttle from station and to snow monkey park was an added bonus!

Japanese dishes featuring local ingredients are available at the ryokan. Dinner is served in a private dining room. I had a very pleasant stay at Suminoyu. The facilities are great - there’s a public bath of the property on the top floor. The room is spacious and well-kept, and the futon comfortable. The food quality for dinner and breakfast is top notch. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and professional. 10/10 would recommend and consider to be back again when I get the chance. ありがとうございます!

Located in the Shibu hot-spring area, Onyado Hishiya Torazo features Japanese-style accommodations. Guests can soak in the indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths and female guests can enjoy wearing colourful Japanese Yukata robes. Yudanaka Train Station is a 10-minute drive away and free Wi-Fi is available in the shared lounge. Everything was truly amazing. The onsen, the service, and facilities are great. Torazo-san is so accommodating and helpful, too. It is also near almost half the nine public baths.

Yasuragi Inn’s Japanese-style rooms have tatami (woven-straw) floors, futon beds and a flat-screen TV. Each room is air-conditioned. A fridge, an electric kettle and yukata robes are provided. All guests have access to the on-site hot spring public baths, and they can be reserved for private use. (please inquire at the front desk for more information.) The host is just super nice and helpful, she pick us at the train station and she explain us what we've to see in the town, like a little guide. She bring us to Monkey park when we arrived and she kept our luggage to put it in our room so no worries for us even if we came before the check in time. We can choose to eat at the ryokan or not (is not included), and it was amazing : homemade delicious dishes in a typical atmosphere. The osen can be private when we wanted and all bath stuff is included. So no regret and we recommend it ! ✌️
