A well kept traditional inn run by particularly lovely and accommodating hosts. The supplementary breakfast was exceptional, served in an authentic manner and featuring 8 or nine individual dishes made with care.

Tawaraya Ryokan is a 10-minute drive from Snow Monkey Park and a 15-minute walk from Heiwa Kannon. Shiga Kogen Ski Resort is a 30-minute drive away. Very tranquil atmosphere. Cozy and beautifully kept ryokan with a gorgeous outside bath available for private use. This is an especially nice place for a couple. The staff are kind and helpful and they speak English.

With an open-air bath, the 2-star ryokan has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. Guests can use the spa facilities, or enjoy mountain views. Ok first of all if you are looking for a traditional place to stay and feel super comfortable in a cozy futon bed -> here you‘ll have it all. The food is a hommage to japanese gods, it was so delicious and our host was the most amazing cute friendly granny you could have ever ask for! The private Onsen - Wow!

At Daymaruya Ryokan, guests can enjoy hot-spring baths and traditional Japanese-style accommodations with free wired internet access. A free shuttle is available from Yudanaka Train Station, which is a 5-minute drive away. It was calm and very traditional, exactly as we hoped. The staff was so precious and sweet we didn’t want to leave. We would definitely recommend. We got access to public onsens as well as a private one🌟

The traditional rooms have Japanese-style futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. Owners and staff are extremely pleasant and kind. Onsens were wonderful. We booked a Japanese room and it was huge! And the free shuttle from station and to snow monkey park was an added bonus!

Located in the Shibu hot-spring area, Onyado Hishiya Torazo features Japanese-style accommodations. Guests can soak in the indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths and female guests can enjoy wearing colourful Japanese Yukata robes. Yudanaka Train Station is a 10-minute drive away and free Wi-Fi is available in the shared lounge. Everything was truly amazing. The onsen, the service, and facilities are great. Torazo-san is so accommodating and helpful, too. It is also near almost half the nine public baths.

Yasuragi Inn’s Japanese-style rooms have tatami (woven-straw) floors, futon beds and a flat-screen TV. Each room is air-conditioned. A fridge, an electric kettle and yukata robes are provided. All guests have access to the on-site hot spring public baths, and they can be reserved for private use. (please inquire at the front desk for more information.) The room was very nice and comfortable, like all the building. Very appreciated the onsen. The owners were so nice and friendly, we had dinner and breakfast there and it was fantastic. Near to the monkey snow park. Highly recomended.
