We were welcomed by Sahak and Jasmine, the best example we found of Armenian hospitality. They don't speak English (they know Armenian and Russian), but Sahak is an expert using Google Translator, and we understood each other fine. Sahak has been extremely helpful advising places to visit, booking taxis and making sure we had everything we needed. Jasmine is a wonderful chef: you must try her breakfast!! We liked it so much we asked for a recipe. She also let us use her washing machine: this was greatly appreciated! The room is exactly as shown on the photos. We had our own private access at ground floor (the hosts live on the first floor). The door opens to a small hallway: the bedroom is on the left, private bathroom on the right (all 3 areas of our exclusive use). The room has air conditioning, although we used it only for 15 minutes: the room stays cool, although it was 35 degrees outside. The beds were comfortable and we slept very well. It's very easy to move around: a taxi in town costs 500 AMD (roughly 1.25 € in August 2024). 1,000 AMD to the restaurants around Yeghegnadzor.

This is a fabulous cottage that we wished we never had to leave! It has been lovingly build and decorated, is so cosy and comfortable, and is in a beautiful remote area - close enough to explore the vineyards, yet far enough for peace and tranquillity. Ara and Arus are also very graceful hosts. We stopped at a market to stock up on supplies before arriving, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage has everything you need to be comfortable and happy!
