Self Catering Accommodation in Astakós

Villa Panorama is absolutely fantastic - it looks good in the pictures, but it's actually better in reality. It has everything you might need, a great TV, good wifi, the pool is warm and not too small, the beds are really comfy, there are blackout shutters on the windows if you want them + brand new sliding fly screens on all the doors and windows, and the showers work well. In really hot weather it's a little bit tough walking back up the steep hill, but it really doesn't take very long - you can walk down to restaurants in maybe 7 minutes, and probably more like 15 to walk back up. The locals are all very friendly if you great them with a "Yas-as" as you go by, and it's a quieter and less touristy part of Greece. There's a wonderful and quiet beach about 3 minutes drive (up the hill, turn left, and there's a sign down to it on your left as you get to a right hand bend) - we found that the locals usually started to leave around lunchtime, meaning we got free umbrellas and loads of space, but there are no facilities. Soft sand once you are in the water, and a gentle slope. Asprogiali is further around and has a sign for the beach bar, which was very reasonably priced. The water dropped off quite deep quite quickly though, so not ideal for young kids if it's wavey. Mytikas has a very long beach which is soft sand underfoot once you're in the water, and there is a beach bar there too. Dimitri and Maria are lovely people, always willing to provide help and recommendations via text and phone, in good English. Dimitri will come to the villa very quickly (I mean, 10 minutes) if you have any issues (I managed to get a sink plug stuck and he came and fixed it), which is really impressive. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Blue Fish restaurant was our favourite - reasonably priced and very good quality. Alexandra Sweet Art makes the best desserts EVER.

Amazing location! The infinity pool overlooking the sea and the island of Kastos is the best place to sit and relax your body & mind. The staff is welcoming and attentive to our every need. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped and they offer a more private view of the sea and the surroundings. Just stay and watch the sunset, fill your life with color. I wish I could stay a lot more, it already feels like home. It’s the owners that make you feel treasured and heard. Thanks for everything

The recently renovated property is tastefully designed combining the best of the Ionian position on the sea with a wonderful history and perfect outdoor bbq and seating area. We were moored off the property and having holidayed in Greece for the last 40 years this is the most authentic and characterful property i have ever rented. Thank you to. Ilia and his family for their kind and attentive caring of our family visit.

The house was clean, spacious and comfortable in general. Eleni the host was very kind and helpful for anything we asked. The location for us that go kite surfing in tsimari was ideal. The neighborhood is calm and safe and you can find anything you need nearby. The yard is big and the water hose very helpful for us that we need to rinse our equipment. We parked the car just outside the house.

The staff are lovely and helpful. All very attentive and friendly with professional attitude.

Our stay at the accommodation in Katochi, Messolonghi was an unforgettable experience! The house was impeccable, with all the amenities one could wish for. The location was ideal, offering peace and tranquility, while also being close to beautiful beaches. Particularly impressive is its proximity to the stunning Louros beach, while in less than an hour one can reach the picturesque Mytikas. The hosts were extremely hospitable and willing to help us with anything we needed. The cleanliness was flawless and the equipment complete. I wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation to anyone seeking an authentic and relaxing holiday experience in the beautiful Aetolia-Acarnania region!

We got the keys and the instruction from Nikos our host, who offered us a warm welcome to the apartment. This is located on the upper floor of an old house that has been completely renovated. We liked everything, the furniture, the bed, the balcony that offers an excellent view on the harbour and protects you from rain and sun. We were surprised by a full supply for breakfast that allowed us to have a great breakfast on the first morning without shopping. There is a private parking place just on the other side of the street. Despite being so close to one of the focal points of Mytikas we found it quiet. Mytikas is not a loud and busy place in general, but if you would just like to relax, read some books or enjoy the life in a small harbour, this is the place to be. The ships to the islands, the beach, the restaurants and super markets all is in walking distance. We love it and hope to come back.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE !!! The house is next to everything you might need, sea-restaurants-supermarkets-bars-coffee places!! The house is big and with an amazing view to the sea and to the island of Kalamos. Our host was easygoing and made us feel completely at home. But his mother was the true embodiment of Greek hospitality — we absolutely loved her. She made us feel like part of the family, and we can’t wait to come back soon.
