This is an exceptional property. Private and quiet with every little detail thought of. It is such a special place and if you want a taste of Ireland and a place to rest and take in the countryside it is perfect. A beautiful brook running through the woods, chickens, ducks and an apple orchard. It is idyllic. We couldn’t believe our luck to spend a night somewhere so beautiful.

The location is remote, which meant it was quiet and no street lights. We never met our hostess, we collected the key from an arranged location. The apartment was warm, clean, comfortable and spacious. The apartment is so thoughfully equipped with every comfort you might need, including hot water bottles should you be in need! The kitchen is well equipped, with everything you might need for self catering. We were lazy and went to the local town, Kenmare, and ate out there. There are brochures advertising local attractions, and a couple of books to read, and big screen tv with streaming service. Even the bathroom had toiletries should you need, and the towels were soft and fluffy and plentiful. There was a picnic bench outside the front door with a great view across the mountains. We stayed in November and there was torrential rain, so we did not get to use this unfortunately. I would have no hesitation in booking again if I'm in that part of the world again, and would highly recommend to anyone looking for peace and comfort and a home away from home.
