The location was superb. We left our car in an inexpensive carpark and did much of our exploration on foot. We were beside the lake, near the parliament buildings, across from the church (which kindly was NOT ringing its bells), and dozens of excellent restaurants. We drove to the sites further afield. We had selected the "Big Room 307" and were charmed by it. A separate bedroom, good bathroom, and a sitting room with sofa and bar stools at the counter. The breakfast buffet got us off to a good start each day. All the Reception staff were great with Martin setting the tone. Lovely to have met you all.

We stayed two nights here on late November and made a very last minute reservation on the same day. But very satisfied with our decision. Location: it is not in the middle of the city but it is great because it has ample free parkings outside the building. It is very convenient for us to load and unload our big luggages and the building has a lift. We drove to the city and park few hours when sightseeing. It's a walkable distance but during winter it was just too cold for us. It has eateries and a Bonus supermarket next door. Owner/manager: fast response. We communicate through this app and get fast prompt response. Though we booked few hours before check in, the apartment is ready, clean and self check in instruction is clear and easy to understand, easy to access. The locals living there are also nice and friendly. Facilities: washer and dryer available in common space. However we can't comment on details because we didn't use it. We just dry our small items in the house on the heated drying racks. Kitchen facilities are good, managed to cook with ease and the owner also left some basic seasonings and maybe items from previous guests. I like that they didn't throw away perfectly good items. We're able to use it as well.👍 The apartment is cozy and homely. Would stay again for future visit and stayed even longer. Very comfortable, feel safe and in summer maybe we can use the big terrace. The owner cares about the details because the plates and bowls and the vases are the nice ones.

The place is aesthetically brilliant: touch of historical atmosphere combined with modern design. The apartment has ideal location on the main shopping and dining street. In the upper floor apartment we didn’t experience any troubling noise, although stayed from Friday to Sunday. If you can afford it, take it!

Everything was set up for the accomodation to be the perfect base for travellers. Location is within walking distance to the church, which also means that there is a huge landmark for locating the accomodation. Especially useful when walking around at night. Host is very thoughtful to include some books and brochures in the accomodation to aid travellers in planning their sightseeing around Iceland. There is even a washing machine (top load) in the bathroom, albeit no dryer. Nevertheless, washing machine services are scarce and expensive in Iceland...so having it is definitely a huge bonus. Rooms and living space was amazing, felt super comfortable to stay in. Earplugs were also provided in case the streets get noisy at night. There's a yogurt shop nearby "yo yo"...do give it a try as its great.

    We had a top floor apartment with plenty of room for us and our kids. The kitchen was well equipped which was great as we were self catering. Very central location really quick to walk up to the Hallgrimskirkja or down to the harbour.

    Clean room and clean bathroom, very centrally located at the Laugavegur street in Reykjavik. There is a possibility to open the (roof) window and put a shade over it, so it's easy for sleeping. There is a small kitchen - so easy if you want to do some self-catering (which we didn't do, but it's easy if you wish so).
