I'm a teacher that wanted a last minute half term getaway and this was just the ticket! A beautiful holiday home nestled in a charming and quaint little village. Husband described it as 'peaceful and tranquil.' The home was perfect for our family of 5 (3 boys aged 9, 7, 5). 2 bedrooms that slept 6 in total, a fully equipped kitchen with full cooking and refrigeration facilities for self catering with an open plan kitchen/diner and lounge area. The key was as described in a box and easy to access. It felt very safe - this was really important on reflection with 3 small children. Spotlessly clean! The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. We had communication from them immediately after booking with post codes and useful information including wifi details. We met the owner who came to deliver us a pack of walking information for local exploration. This was so kind and really helpful as we did end up walking in the area. We also met the cleaner who was really kind, friendly and helpful. The photos don't do the venue justice, it really was beautiful, a relaxing spot and a great location for visiting Brugge for day trips. We stayed 3 nights but would gladly have stayed longer. Play equipment: bikes / trikes / scooters for children to play with 9 and under approx. A ping pong table. A football table. Box of games in the home. Box of games in the outside room. Parking 15 Euros for a day, book online or pay on exit. -A lovely restaurant with a play park (jumping pillow/ climbing frame/ slides/ football mini pitch / 2 large trampolines / shetland ponies)- De Nieuwe Blauwe Toren. 5 waffles/pancakes and drinks 46 Euros. -Huge Carrefour 6 min drive We would return in a heartbeat and would highly recommend this property!

One of the standout features of the property was the yard and small playing ground, which was perfect for children. It provided a safe and enjoyable space for them to play and have fun. What truly made this stay memorable was the exceptional service provided by the landlord lady. She was easily reachable by phone and genuinely interested in ensuring that everything was going well during our stay. Her attentiveness and willingness to assist with any issues or concerns were highly commendable.

Surrounded by countryside in Zerkegem, 13 km away from medieval Bruges, the self-catering accommodations at Hoeve De Hagepoorter is set in farm buildings from the 18th and 19th century. Guests can benefit from free WiFi access and a spacious garden with a terrace and a pond. The accommodation was amazing. Great location, accommodation perfect. The owners think of absolutely everything and spoil their guests with homemade eggs, amazingly comfortable beds, a bathing habitat and beautiful surroundings that they create with elegance and sensitivity. I love the countryside, the beautiful gardens and everything the accommodation fulfilled. It is nicer and cosier than in the photos. I would love to return.

Very cute and peaceful B&B, in the countryside, about 1 km walk from nearest town where you can find restaurants, supermarket etc. Very friendly lady, who is passionate about her B&B. Everything is thoughtful, from decorations, to facilities and amenities, to board games for kids. Breakfast was truly amazing with fresh eggs from the yard's chickens, fruits, ham and cheese, croissant, etc. Nice garden with playground, trampoline etc. Rooms were very spacious and clean, nice big bathtub. You can visit the town of Damme, very pretty houses in the flemish style. Highly recommend this carpe diem place. We will go back.
