We had cycled 170km from Briare in very high temperatures which set our expected arrival time back a few hours and our hosts were very understanding. Upon arrival in Diou (it was a Monday evening around 6pm) nothing in the village was open and our hosts drove to a neighbouring village to pick up a couple of pizzas for us. We are eternally grateful! We couldn't ask for more. The accommodation it's self was a self contained annex within the grounds of the main house. It was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed including facilities to wash our cycling clothes. We had a lovely evening sat outside eating our pizza in beautiful surroundings. We fully recommend Petit Mas Cosy if you are in the area but please note Diou is a small village and food outlets might be closed on certain days. (I think this goes for many villages in central France during the summer months)

It had all the equipment we needed and a secure place to store our bicycles next door. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to others. Great value.

The spacious bed and breakfast is fitted with a satellite flat-screen TV. On arrival, the entry keypad had a plate attached telling me to ring the bell, but I couldn't find the bell. Someone passing rang the number and all was well! It was very clean and very technological with a small plastic card for room entry and flashing lights as well as a voice telling if the door was locked or unlocked. Wifi worked a treat. There were qr codes here and there, and a Hi Google box or something - I didn't dare mess with those as I am not very good with modern things! Bed very comfortable, slept like a log, and everything was clean. Breakfast self service and perfectly adequate. Auxonne is a beautiful place, and I would like to return and stay here again for longer. Thank you!

The apartment was absolutely brilliant, really clean, comfortable, and beautifully equipped, the bed is the most comfortable iv ever slept in! Tonnerre is a gem, a diamond in the rough. It has stunning views and the Fosse Dionne (A Hydro vent.) is definitely worth a visit, as is the many churches in this gorgeous ancient town.
