For those interested in the western coast of the Peloponnese, its stunning beaches, and the region's historical sites, Katakolon is a great base. And if you're planning to stay in Katakolon, the Althea Hotel is the place to be. The hotel boasts a convenient location, excellent and very helpful staff (thanks again for helping with the car, Dina!), beautiful, clean rooms with spacious verandas and stunning views of the bay. Returning from our excursions in the evenings, we felt like we were returning home. The hotel has its own parking lot and a good breakfast. We highly recommend it.
