The view is absolutely breathtaking — we stayed in Suite 1, which I truly believe offers the best view I’ve ever seen. Being there felt like stepping out of this world. It’s the perfect place to disconnect completely and reconnect with nature, the sea, and even the sound of the seagulls. I’ve never felt so light, so peaceful, so far away from the noise of everyday life. The interior is beautifully designed with incredible attention to detail. Every material is top quality — even the kitchen towels and bed linens. The lighting, the layout — everything has been so thoughtfully curated. I’m 100% coming back, and next time for a longer stay. This is, without a doubt, the best place I’ve ever been. I recommend, recommend, and recommend again!

It is a family run bookstore/accommodation business for decades with nicely preserved antique interior. Host gave us a quick tour in the building. Kitchen was full of kitchenware, spices, sweets and food for breakfast. Lots of books, boardgames, guitar to play and so on. This is one of 2 best places in Vestfirdir for a romantic stay.

The house was very spacious which was nice for our family of 5 travelling. We did not follow the spa instructions and as a result the it was super hot, I would recommend following the instructions provided in the house

We are also grateful to have met such a wonderful owner who took us to see his own Icelandic horses and sheep, passionately introduced us to local specialties, and provided us with useful travel information. If you choose to stay in this house, be sure to contact the landlord to arrange a horseback riding tour and experience a different side of Iceland.
