It's a huge bonus as we are traveling light with our two teenagers. Staff members are responsive. It's only a 5 min walk from the Kanazawa Station. There're plenty of restaurants around. I will stay there again next time.

It was walking distance from everything. It was well appointed with a lovely kitchen and beautiful bath. The shared garden was lovely and everything was immaculate. The room was excellent and it was renovated for modern comforts but they kept the traditional vibe. Lots of great tourist spots close by and within walking distance. Breakfast was good. Would totally recommend to anyone who would like to experience a night in an old Japanese house.

I was a little late finding lodging for our trip, so we regrettably only stayed for 1 night as this place was booked for the rest of our time in Kanazawa - but WOW. Truly amazing place, and Hitty was so incredibly kind to us. He shared the house’s history with us & even brought us up into another part of the house to share some samurai era relics with us. We were personally met by Hitty & given sweets when we arrived, so make sure you give him an accurate time of arrival - we ran late on a tour but he was so gracious and kind about it. He made us a dinner reservation at a nearby restaurant and we had an amazing meal. 10/10, highlight of our trip so far & we will be back!!
