So this review propably will sound like one of those fake-reviews. In terms that everything was more than perfect. We traveled with our small dog by car and stayed here for 2 nights in summer. Stupid us: should have been at least four. The motto of Philippe and Arlette says it all: we think Switserland should be more welcoming to our guests, that's why we want to do everything we can. Anyway, this is what we liked about staying here: - The welcome: a drink with extensive info about the region. Followed by the best home made cheese fondue by Philippe (Freiburger-style :) ). Yes you have to pay for the dinner, but it's fantastic value for money looking at the nearby restaurants and the stunning view from the balcony. The cheese fondue was one of the best we ever had. - Our dog was much loved by both Philippe and Arlette. He felt home allright. - The breakfast. Holy moly. home cooked, too much fantastic local stuff. And again: the view. - The room. Clean, quiet, relaxed. Everything you want for chilling out. There are probably more things we can say, but this couple truly knows how to spoil you. We were more than happy we could be their guests. Merci Philippe and Arlette!

The bathroom was newly refurbished, very stylish and very practical at the same time. There were 2 restaurants to choose from. Both had really excellent menus ; we both had truly excellent steaks.

Very nice old chalet , with Wonderfull views on the mountain. Very quiet and green everywhere. Our host was super nice, the room was big and cosy , all was very clean.

This was such an amazing experience ! I cannot recommend this place enough! we stayed for two nights and as soon as I walked in the door, I felt relaxed. it’s so beautifully decorated and such a nice place to chill out ! the rooms were lovely and big! I Will definitely come back here. it was a real treat!

Great location, beautiful view, clean and tidy room. As it was off-season for tourists, I was the only traveller in the hotel during my stay, but the manager was still very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was well organised and delicious! The manager prepared an extra croissant for me every day after learning that I like croissants. The shower gel in my room was taken away by a previous guest and the manager replenished it with two, lent me a hairdryer and provided me with extra pillows on request. If you are planning a trip to Château-d'Oex or Montreux, I highly recommend staying at this good value hostel. I will be coming back very soon!

The place is very central, only a few minutes’ walk from train station, from where you can find bus to Glacier 3000. The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good. Restaurant served good food. Very good value of money.
