On opening the front door, this huge, beautifully renovated and appointed apartment far exceeded our expectations. The sheer size of the apartment was so unexpected. It was huge and even though there were only the 2 of us, it was great value for money. We loved its modern facilities like the brand new kitchen, the washing machine and the dishwasher but it still had lots of charm and warmth from the exposed walls and wooden floors. All the thoughtful extras were a lovely touch too. We were lucky enough to find a parking spot just around the corner, although a small car would definitely fit through the front garage doors and park easily in the huge vacant area on the ground floor of the building (ours didn't fit through the doors although the owner offered the space as "free private parking is possible on site (reservation is needed)".

The Transhumance was an exceptional experience. Im not sure how I discovered Bedoús but I think we were meant to find this beautiful village and amazing hotel. It was comfortable, clean, charming and truly relaxing. We ate at the restaurant the night we arrived (highly recommend!) and we treated ourselves to an hour at the spa… the stars at night are gorgeous and breakfast is delicious. Wonderful and caring staff too!

We can't wait to come back. Everything was superlative. We really enjoyed talking with the owners, who know so much about the area. They sent us out on amazing journeys all over the place - the best restaurants, the best little windie roads to get to the most fantastic views from the high mountain passes, the list goes on and on. Best imaginable breakfast by the way!

Having the sitting room, in addition to a generously sized bedroom, makes it a very comfortable place to stay. The view from the sitting room is beautiful. Catherine and Bernard are delightful hosts and the breakfast provided is fantastic. Catherine and Bernard also made a reservation for us at a restaurant they recommended at a nearby village, which was much appreciated. The restaurant was excellent. We did not want to leave La Maison de Jeanne and wished we could have stayed longer.

The property also offers accommodation for disabled guests. we stayed for 2 nights at Toison d'Or and absolutely loved it! The hotel is beautifully decorated, including the smallest details. The view from the room is sbsolutely breathtaking (we stayed in Sir Galahad's room): I don't think I've ever had such spectacular views from a hotel room. Hoever, the best part of our stay were the hosts: Xavier and Julie! We felt so incredibly welcome, and Julie makes delicious dinners. We also met a lot of other wonderful people from around the world. In short, our stay could not have been better and we recommend this place 100%. Definitely hoping to go back :)
