Exceptional location overlooking the fiords and the town. Very nice host who came over to check all was good as we arrived in the middle of a storm. And he also brought chocolate cookies as a welcome gift! I would definitely recommend this place. You can really see that this cottage is cured with love by the owner.

Guests at the accommodation will be able to enjoy activities in and around Egilsstadir, like hiking and skiing. Location is excellent in the small town of Egilstadir. Nearby the stunning Vok baths. It is a 2 minute walk from the (very small) town centre with restaurant/cafe type of thing as the cheapest option. It is also next to a supermarket. The accom itself has a cafe inside which unfortunately doesn't open until 10am, but the person thankfully made us some coffees around 9am. Rooms were big enough and comfortable beds and pretty good sound proofing. We didn't use the kitchen facilities but bathrooms were also good.

Snæfell - Hotel by Aldan is 500 metres from the Smyril Line Ferry Terminal in Seydisfjördur. WiFi and parking are free.

Restaurants, grocery stores and shops are found within 10 minutes’ walk. The Smyrill Line ferry terminal is just 50 metres away. The Stafdalur skiing area is 1.5 km from Apartments Lónsleira. A very nice, cosy and well equipped house. The host was friendly and helpful to us when we were stranded in Seydisfjordur during a hurricane.

Seydisfjordur Public Swimming Pool is a 2-minute walk from the hotel. Stafdal Valley Ski Centre is 9 km away. The upgraded us as there weren't many tourists during the off season. We were even warned that there a no open restaurants beforehand so we could prepare. Our Keycode allowed us to enter a seperate vuilding with a small little honesty bar and snacks. All in all a lovely old hotel with really nice rooms and extremely pleasent hosts - would love to come back during the summer.

This guesthouse is in a great location within this small but beautiful town, a short walk to everything you need (bars, restaurants, grocery shopping, etc). The room was a generous size, clean, with comfortable beds. The kitchen amenities were generous with plenty of space for cooking & storing our groceries. We definitely recommend this guesthouse.
