Hakuba Third Place Lodge is one of my favourite places I’ve stayed. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. Everything was spotless, and the private bath was beautifully designed and so relaxing after a day on the slopes. Akira and his team were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and efficient, always making sure we had everything we needed. The included breakfast was absolutely delicious. The location is ideal—just minutes from the ski slopes and close to lovely bars and restaurants. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you Akira and the team.

Skiing and hiking can be enjoyed nearby, while ski-to-door access and ski storage space are also available on-site. Satisfied with the dormitory capsule size. Staffs are always friendly and helpful. Pick up service was good, reliable and flexible. Although shared bathroom, it is not quite busy. And shower, toilet and sinks are separate, which is good. Vibe is nice, people lives in the same hostel will always gather around the fireplace and share their day or their culture.

The shuttle service was very helpful for coming and going from the train station and to various activities. The onsen was clean and relaxing. There was laundry available for use. Games outdoors and indoors. Just amazing.

Enjoyed the house for summer for a big group and had a wonderful time! Staff was always quick/available to answer your questions or come by should you needed something. Sauna/onsen was definitely a highlight, along with the ready-to-go BBQ set (extra cost). Would love to come again!

If you would like to discover the area, hiking is possible in the surroundings and the aparthotel can arrange a car rental service. We stayed at this hotel for seven nights, and it was fantastic! The service was always friendly and attentive. The breakfast was excellent every day and a real highlight of our stay. The location is perfect for exploring the nearby mountains, the many hot springs, and the rural areas of Japan in general. Our son loved the playroom, and the staff was very family-friendly. There are also plenty of parking spaces, which was very convenient. We had a perfect stay overall and gladly give 5 stars!
