Le Tongariro Crossing Lodge vous accueille dans un cadre paisible avec de grands jardins paysagers et une terrasse pittoresque donnant sur la montagne. Tongariro Crossing Lodge was a great place to stay for our family (parents, 2 adult daughters). Our main purpose was to do the Tongariro Alpine Crossing the next day. However, after consulting with Louis (owner) and looking at the predicted cloud cover, we opted to delay the hike an extra day Louis kindly suggested alternative shorter hikes/activities near by, which were very enjoyable. Louis had also reserved spots for us on the shuttle (to/from hike) but upon our arrival and discussion, we decided to drive ourselves to the carpark which ended up being a good idea since the day we hiked was extremely cloudy, not clearing up until about 1pm. Driving ourselves allowed us to be flexible and enjoy the stunning views for another hour instead of rushing back to make the 5:30pm shuttle. In addition to the room (ours was newly renovated), you could also pay for a continental breakfast and sack lunch which Louis brought to our room the night before the hike. Very convenient and yummy!! Lodge was also within walking distance of restaurants (two that we ate at had great views of mountains, sunset) and small store. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay - perfect for us :). Louis was also very responsive prior to our trip, answering my many questions.

L’hébergement National Park Home se situe à Parc national, à respectivement 16 km et 22 km de ces lieux d’intérêt : Taranaki Falls et Whakapapa. Fantastic location near to the four squares, and the equipment rental shop (Ski Biz I believe). The apartment was so cosy and well ventilated with large windows! The dry pantry was well equipped with herbs and condiments.

Très beau lieu, bien placé. Logement spacieux, bien équipé, confortable. Grand espace commun disponible. Possibilité de petit-déjeuner et lunch box mais sinon supérette bien achalandée juste à côté. Parking gratuit.

Super nice host, comfy beds, full kitchen, right across the street is the pick up of the alpine crossing shuttle. 5min walk to supermarket. Perfect stay.

Situé dans le parc national, Le Mountain Heights Lodge propose 6 motels indépendants et 4 chambres avec salle de bains privative. Les chambres BnB accueillent les enfants de plus de 14 ans. Nice location, clean and comfortable, had everything we needed, and loved seeing the alpacas
