We stayed for a night as part of a motorcycle trip round Germany. Mark and Manuela were extremely helpful and accommodating. Fantastic hosts who were great to chat with. The room was spotless and very comfortable, and included all amenities that you could need. 10/10, highly recommend. We hope to stay again.

This is an extremely comfortable, beautifully decorated apartment in the middle of Detmold. The design and layout are very well done, making you feel very much at home. There is everything you need in the kitchen, a bright and aired bathroom with large rain shower, a very large bedroom with good cupboard space, a comfortable couch and even a record player. There is a cellar downstairs where you can leave your bike, and a free use of washing machine and drying rack. At the ground floor is also a very friendly Eye Glasses shop, who become your neighbours :)

As visitors to the bi-annual Pferdestarke event, we have stayed at Hotel Zur Burg Sternberg every 2 years since approximately 2010. The buffet style breakfasts and evening meals are delicious. The location is quiet and peaceful. The staff were very friendly and helpful and, as our German isn't brilliant, it was good that some staff spoke excellent English. Special mention to Stella and Stephanie.
