My wife and I discovered this hotel, fleeing from extreme heat, which made our vacation nearly impossible. We were pleasantly surprised when we saw this beautiful chateau and received a complementary upgrade to a gorgeous suite with plenty of space, period furniture and, needless to say, quiet air conditioning. The restaurant on the property was magnificent, with its impressive décor, large selection of gourmet entries, and excellent service. XO Hardy cognac from handcrafted crystal bottle was unforgettable. We look forward to staying at this magnificent place next time!

A lot of time, effort and thought has gone into creating this beautiful hotel with, it feels like, no expense spared. We got a really good deal for our one night through booking.com making it exceptionally good value for money. The jacuzzi and pool are especially lush as is the rooftop bar. The staff are all a delight, as you'd expect. I loved the luxury of walking around in bare feet on the thick carpets and beautiful floors. The covered parking area keeps your car cool in hot weather and makes loading/unloading much more pleasant. The rooms are fabulous. We had a 'basic' garden room with our own table in our garden and it was good to see a lot of eco friendly techniques used to maintain the gardens. The bed was sumptuous.

I cannot recommend 1854 Chassors highly enough. The place is situated in the absolute perfect location, surrounded by beautiful landscape, and a short drive away from exciting cities and the seaside. I have never stayed in accommodation so well equipped, everything you could wish for is provided - we were even offered umbrellas on a rainy day! The beds are incredibly comfortable and the gite was perfect in every way, creating the ideal escape with the pool and grounds! Barb and Kevin are so incredibly kind, welcoming and insightful for the area, recommending brilliant places to explore and are always there for any questions you may have throughout your stay. They made the place feel like a home away from home, absolute paradise!
