I loved having such a good sea view, able to see waves crashing against the breakwater! The property had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We were greeted by Emilie who was very friendly despite my lack of French language skills. There is an indoor parking space. The flats have an elevator, large enough that would cope with an average sized wheelchair. The building is well insulated from the cold, I think from noise too, but cannot be certain as Le Portel is a quiet village anyway. Restaurants and bars on your doorstep. Just a great little bolt hole!

Great size apartment for the family, clean with complete set of everything you needed. Staff were helpful and communication was perfect. The location served us well for all the places we wanted to visit, and near to ferry port to make the journey easier. Highly recommended and would come again.

Hotel De La Matelote is located in the heart of Boulogne-sur-Mer, right on the sea front and opposite the fishing port. Nausicaá National Sea Center is a 3-minute drive away.

The appartment is truly cosy indeed, private and quiet with a green view, in an old building (renovated inside) opposite city walls. Very well taken care of with eye for detail. With good curtains, a comfortable couch and bed with good bedding. The bathroom and kitchen are small but very well equipped with everything one needs. Nice shower experience. On short walking distance from railway station Tintelleries.

The checking in information very good. Apartment was very clean, lovely touches of gifts awaiting me , gorgeous sweets , biscuits, slippers, loofas.. Enjoyed staying in a french person's home rather than a hotel. The hot tub in the garden was great. Good location near to town centre, port and beach. Great bus service 1€ wherever you went. 9 minutes walk from Boulogne TentilleriesStation .
