We lived everything about the ICON Hotel. I travel regularly to Hong Kong on business and have stayed in hotels on the island twice the price and even then, the ICON Hotel in many ways was better. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, the rooms very well laid out, great views and everything we needed for a relaxing trip.

I had a high-level king room with harbour view. The room was spacious, clean, modern, very quiet, tastefully decorated and very well-designed. I enjoyed the hotel's outdoor pool very much too. Grand Hyatt is linked to Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) which means walking to the MTR is so easy and it doesn't matter if it rains because you'll be under the roof the entire time. Calling an Uber is so easy too because Grand Hyatt is a popular spot where drivers pick up and drop off passengers all the time. Staying at Grand Hyatt made my stay in Hong Kong a perfect holiday.

Mandarin Oriental Hotel (there are 2, this is the 'old' one) is very clean (the cleanest I have seen), and the location is very good, CBD is within walking distance. Given the price of this accommodation, there are some expectations, and the hotel and its rooms met them.
