Rooms at Hiroshima-Ekimae Ohashi APA Hotel comes with a flat-screen TV with BBC news, a fridge and an electric kettle. Each room has an original mattress optimising weight distribution and a private bathroom with a high-tech toilet and a hairdryer. Overall a great experience! The location is great with easy access to transportation and plenty of restaurants nearby. The room was small as shown in the photos, but worked well for a couple with light luggage. A good selection of amenities were included, as well as two different types of pillows to choose from. I highly recommend visiting the baths on the second floor as a way to unwind after a day of activities! The staff were excellent and service was great! The breakfast available at the hotel restaurant had a decent selection to choose from, including both western and Japanese options.

Extra bonus is the hydrofoil boat that docks outside the hotel that takes you to and from Itsukushima Island. The hotel was the site of the G7 conference in 2023, with lots of photos documenting the summit. The hotel is also used for weddings, and we got to watch the end of a lovely wedding, with the new bride and groom walking up a three-story circular stairway, while the wedding guests applauded the couple from the balconies overlooking the three-story central grand lobby. Just lovely.

During the summer, guests can enjoy the outdoor swimming pool and Beer Terrace on the Seaside Deck. Aki Grand also has a public hot spring bath and sauna. Guests can reserve a private open-air hot spring bath with Itsukushima Shrine views. Activities at the hotel include a night cruising tour of the World Heritage Sites. I had an ocean-view room with a balcony overlooking the Miyajima Torii gate. The room was very spacious and comfortable, with two twin beds. The hotel also provided free breakfast and dinner, which was very convenient, as I didn't have to leave the hotel to find food. I also used the free bus that takes you to the station and back, it made my stay less stressful. The private onsen I reserved was very relaxing and clean. I loved the view of the ocean while I enjoyed the onsen.

The room was very comfortable and had all the equipment I needed. The location was perfect, I walked everywhere by foot, there was plenty of food nearby.
