Some rooms feature a seating area to relax in after a busy day. All units include views of the garden. Rooms include a private bathroom equipped with a shower. Comfortable bed and pillows. There was air conditioning in the room which was so needed in the humid jungle! The husband and wife running the home stay have excellent English. They are so kind and helpful. We had an issue with the fan in the room and it was fixed within minutes! We had an incredible spread for breakfast and didn’t need to eat again until the evening.

The spacious rooms are fitted with rattan furniture and timber panels. Each comes with a private bathroom featuring oversized glass walls that allow much natural light in.

From the moment we arrived, every detail was perfect, and the level of service exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredibly attentive and made sure that all our needs were met. A special thank you to the duty manager, Shantha, whose kindness and exceptional hospitality made our experience even more memorable. His dedication to ensuring we had a wonderful stay was truly appreciated. The hotel itself is stunning, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere that made for a perfect retreat. The accommodation offers a spa centre. Tropicara Resort exceeded my expectations! The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always going the extra mile. The rooms were clean, spacious, and beautifully designed, offering great comfort. The food was delicious, with fresh, flavorful dishes that I looked forward to every day. Overall, it’s a perfect combination of excellent service, quality rooms, and amazing food. Highly recommended!

Close to lions rock and the other things to do. Only 2 min Walking from restaurants. The homestay itself is very quite and the bed was amazing. We had the best sleep. The Family is amazing! They’re sooo sweet and help you with everything. The food is so tasty, she makes it herself and the taste is sooooo GOOD! You Will have the best food in the area at the homestay. The guest house specialises in an à la carte and Asian breakfast and breakfast in the room is also available. Definitely one of my favorite stays i had while travelling through SriLanka. Bathroom was above the standard that we were used to within SriLanka, AC worked perfectly and the bed was very comfortable too. But what has made this Acoomodation so perfect was definitely the host family! They were so kind and prepared a very authentic and yummy breakfast for us. We also decided to have dinner (which you pay additionally but best price-performance ratio you could ask for), where they prepared 6 different dishes for us and we regretted that we didn't spent another night to taste that food again.
