The property was close to the beach and the rooms were clean. The two girls working there clean up the rooms every day. The breakfast was good, we also eat dinner one night there, we ordered fish(it was huge) and was really tasty and it was only 10$/person. Also the host was really nice and helpful. I would 1000000% recommend this property.

Ukhulas as an island itself is a piece of paradise on earth; but these guys make your experience even more divine. We were feeling as part of the family from the first time we set foot on the island, until the last day these lovely people personally saw us off to the dock, making sure we care about nothing else but just enjoy the well-deserved vacation. I am especially thankful to Sheena; we took a full package including all 3 meals, and never regretted because Sheena is a great talented cook and the meals she made for us every day were simply amazing. I am highly recommending this guesthouse to everyone! And I am wishing all the best to the owner and the team.

Every room at this resort is air conditioned and is fitted with a flat-screen TV. Certain rooms feature views of the sea or garden. All rooms include a private bathroom. Great house reef with lots of colorful corals growing again. High density of fish. Some turtles. Some sharks. No rays seen during our week. However, there are 35 min to 50 min speed boat journeys to whaleshark and manta sites. We have seen both. Beautiful beach. No waste. Beautiful trees. Great food, especially soups, salads, shots, indian & maldivian & sri lanka food. Very clean facilities Great for couples and families Flight from Male is 400 USD for a return ticket. Veligandu is an extraordinary resort for people looking for a totally peaceful holiday without people shouting, kids screaming around and loud music. It’s truly heaven if you’re looking for silence and complete relaxation. However if you’re someone looking for some partying and/or want to take small kids with you, this is not the most appropriate resort (fortunately). The best thing about Veligandu is the food. Every single meal is a 10/10, high quality ingredients and carefully prepared meals. It makes Veligandu on par with many fine dining and even Michelin guide restaurants across the world, even beating some of them. After renovations, the facilities and infrastructure turned out incredible, our ocean villa was out of this world, we couldn’t believe it when we walked in. Truly spectacular. The staff is super nice, and a special thanks to Nawal which was in charge of our villa and cleaning services. He did a superb job.

In addition, the resort offers a menu of bespoke romantic experiences and excursions which may be arranged upon request. The property has Chinese speaking staff. This was our second stay. And we had high hopes since our first stay was excellent - they didn't disappoint at all. The staff was friendly and competent again. The cleaning of the room was superb. The food was excellent - although since this time the resort was nearly full booked we hoped to get a bit more variety on the buffet, but this was no issue for us. They even renovated or fixed the AC - it is much quieter now and very efficient. The lagoon is amazing and great for snorkeling, swimming or just enjoying the water.

We had a wonderful stay at Holiday Cottage, the room was nice with a fun open air shower, the owner and staff were beyond kind and helped make it a great experience for my 80 year old Mother who travelled with me.
