Our experience at Kruger Gate Hotel was absolutely amazing! The property itself is stunning, beautifully designed and impeccably clean throughout. The room was spacious and well-equipped, offering far more than we needed, especially since we spent most of our time out on safari. We used the gym, which was a great amenity, though we did miss having a spinning bike, would’ve loved that! My husband and I stayed for 5 days and 4 nights (we originally booked 3 nights and decided to extended 1 more) and honestly, we wish we had booked an extra day just to fully enjoy everything the hotel has to offer. The food was excellent every night, with a wide variety of proteins and vegetables, buffet-style, so we got to try something new each evening. The staff were truly exceptional. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly warm and helpful. A special mention to our waiter: Excellent, yes, that’s his name! :) who remembered our names and our usual drinks, making every dinner feel personalized and welcoming. The reception team was also fantastic, both in person and via the WhatsApp concierge line. The game drives, organized with an external provider, were also a highlight. Everything was well-coordinated, from timing to the packed breakfasts that were ready for us each morning. All in all, we highly recommend Kruger Gate Hotel

The location near Hoedspruit was ideal, not to busy but close enough for easy towntrips. The staff was extremely friendly, I sprained my ankle during my stay and they even remembered when I bumped in to them again later that week in town. The hosting was very personal and friendly, this will probably be my go to place to stay when I need a hotel in Hoedspruit

A buffet, continental or Full English/Irish breakfast is available at the property. Fantastic staff. The main caretaker, Kaley, is great when it comes to customer service. She made sure our stay was comfortable and even went out of the way to pack picnic sandwiches for us when we wanted to venture out on our own. The safari guide, Floid, is very knowledgeable, and if you stay for 2-3 days, he'll make sure you see every type of animal you had on your wish list. These guys include 1 complimentary safari per night of your stay (so if you stay for 3 nights, 3 safaris are inclusive), and I feel it's the best package because a couple of self drives in Kruger are a must do in my opinion, just for the thrill of it. The tents are quite comfortable and have all the amenities you'd expect in a luxurious hotel room. The AC works well (believe me, you NEED it if you visit in the summers like we did), the pool is clean, the bathrooms are great. The food was superlative - we had exotic 3 course complimentary dinners every single evening. I suggest booking a minimum of 3 days to really get the most out of Kruger.

A car rental service is available at the bed and breakfast. Where to start… we loved absolutely everything! The room was wonderful so comfortable and perfect with windows to the wilderness and beautiful decoration, comfortable beds and everything we needed, the staff made us feel like home miss them already, and the food is a must, we chose traditional meals for our dinners and we where surprised, The chef is a star! Thank you very much for this perfect stay, wish we could come every year 🩵

Nice kitchen, perfect base for Panorama route. Nearby Spar provides convenient meals. Very friendly host.

A buffet, continental or Full English/Irish breakfast can be enjoyed at the property. Spent 5 nights at this fabulous lodge. We did a number of full day or half day activities which the proprietor helped to arrange for us and every detail was worked out, ensuring all we had to do was relax and be wowed. Returning to the luxury of the lodge and cooling off in the pool and the stunning grounds was a perfect way to finish off those days. We supplemented the chilling out process with drinks from the expertly curated selection of fine South African wines or beers, spirits and soft drinks. The interior of the lodge and the private suite could only be described as luxurious opulence furnished with many beautiful African artefacts. And as if all of that is not enough we enjoyed ample beautifully prepared and presented breakfasts. We were also privileged to play host to families of nyalas and warthogs who visited the area just outside our bedroom window and patio doors to feast on fallen amarula fruits. Wow wow wow !!!

We then had an exquisite dinner under the stars with the owners. The food was so good I went for "seconds" (and therefore missed out on the dessert!). We loved the breakfast because we were by now friends with other guests - from Brazil and Saudi Arabia. It was a great experience
