Very relaxing atmosphere, the garden is beautiful and the location is perfect: on a quiet street but walking distance from the main street and the riverside. Also the owner is really helpful with arranging tours (for a fair price!). Highly recommend!

As a solo, female traveller, I could not recommend Traveller’s jungle camp enough. Well-located, clean and incredibly friendly, I could not have been looked after better. Mr Gopal not only provided great recommendations but was also a fantastic guide - the tour down the river and safari walk were fantastic. The team - in particular Mr Gopal and Saugat - were also brilliant in their endeavours to get me back to Kathmandu when it looked like my flight may not go due to bad weather. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

They also lent me the bike to use it and get to know the town. the owner drop me to the bus station as well, so perfect service.They have restaurant service (very good food and good price). The place is very nice. Clean rooms, good service, and beautiful garden with plenty of birds and plants. Just a few minutes walk from the main riverside. And the hotel stuff was very very helpful with everything - organizing trips, ordering bus, money exchange etc. They even picked up us at bus terminal even though we didnt let them know in advance. They organized for us a wonderful 3-day jungle walk tour. Big thanks to our guides — and after the tour also friends — Basu and Kumar, they are very proffesional! On the tour we saw a lot of animals, we stayed at local traditional village, and also in a nice river view hotel. They explained us everything about nature around and they didn’t make up any nonsenses. Important to mention that the tour was quite challenging due to the hot and wet weather, but we enjoyed really much!

The hotel is right on the river and you can see rhinos and crocodiles right from the terrace, and or when walking along the river bank. The restaurant was good and I was well looked after by Sitaram who serves guests and was very helpful in arranging early breakfasts. The hotel organises safaris and other activities in Chitwan National Park, which is across the river. I did a morning canoe ride followed by a jungle walk, then a full day safari. I had a great experience with both, and had the same guide who was really keen to help us see wildlife. It's much better to do the full day safari which leaves early in the morning. You can split the cost with other guests from the hotel. (It can be cold, especially with the breeze from the open jeep, so dress warmly.) We saw loads of rhinos, including mothers and babies, but it was all in the first half of the day. They took us to the best spots to view the animals, based on information shared among the guides. For the half-day keep safaris that leave in the afternoon, you're out in the heat of the day, and everyone seems to come back disappointed. The hotel is also just a 5-10 minute walk to the town, though there's not a lot to do or see there. The jungle is the main attraction.
