The staff are very kind and super helpful. The rooms are pretty and very clean, and the view of the city from the lobby is stunning. The restaurant is excellent, for breakfast as well as other meals. On days that you have to leave for a early tour before breakfast time, they even offer to make you a lunch box to-go instead.

This Blue Bird Hotel will get you out of your travel blues. Brand new family run property, very helpful owner Mr Darwin. Try early check in at 9am or late check out at 9pm in any hotel in the world and see how much they charge extra. But for Darwin, it was done with a smile and without any extra charges. Hotel has minimalistic approach, clean and fresh. Breakfast was good for my Vegetarian Choice. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms are clean with 24 hrs hot water. You can ask for room heater just in case you need it. Cocoa leaves tea is available 24/7 Do use the discounted and safe taxi services via hotel, you will save a lot. Lastly, Friends of cusco/Machupicchu is the tour agency I used which is just 300 meters from the hotel. Milton speaks fluent English and helped me with day tours and bus bookings with discounts. All the agencies suggested via Youtube charge more.
