The house water is not just drinkable, but very soft, from a private well and it flows with high pressure in the shower. Breakfast is more than generous. A good selection of breads, hams and cheese, excellent coffee and those rich coloured fried eggs were definitely not the work of "unhappy" hens. All in all, a happy house where one would love to have had more time to stay and relax. If we had known how good it was, we would definitely have spent more time there.

Häuserl im Wald is located on the edge of Graz within a 15-minute tram ride from the centre, and it houses a restaurant serving Austrian cuisine and regional specialties. It features a wine cellar and wine tastings can be organized. The room was very spacious and with lovely interior. The staff was friendly. The food was very good and the portions are quite large. The have many different dishes and also a lot for vegetarians and also at least two vegan options, which i didnt expect. Also it was easy to get some soy milk for breakfast. The breakfast was also good :)

Mur Island, the Kunsthaus Graz Art Museum and Graz city centre can all be reached on foot in 7 minutes or less. Graz Opera House is 2 km away. Castle Eggenberg be reached by car in 10 to 15 minutes. The Schloßbergbahn Funicular is a 5-minute walk away. Lovely little Inn with lots of character. Restaurant downstairs seems to be popular with the locals, thats a good sign. I did like the food. Quiet location.
