The staff is very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The pool is awesome and territory of the hotel is very green and cozy. We stayed for less than day to recharge from our previous adventures before we go to the airport. Unbelievable how fast you can to the airport from a private and quiet place like this (under 10min). Definitely recommending this hotel to all other travellers.

Its location is a major advantage, being conveniently within walking distance of the Periyar Tiger Reserve entrance. We also enjoyed seeing some local wildlife nearby due to its proximity to nature. The hotel features a nice swimming pool, which was enjoyable for relaxing, and the on-site restaurant served great food. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful throughout our visit, which added positively to the experience. Considering the amenities and location, the hotel is very affordable and offers really good value for money. Overall, Chrissie's Hotel is probably the best choice for accommodation in Thekkady, offering a comfortable and well-located base for exploring the area. We had a very very positive experience and would recommend it to anyone.

Offering mountain and garden view, the fan-cooled rooms have a flat-screen cable TV, DVD and CD player. They feature a seating area, work desk and electric kettle. The attached bathrooms come with free toiletries, a hairdryer and shower. We loved our stay here. Lovely hotel in colonial/ heritage style away from the bustle of munnar town but only a 15-20 min tuk tuk ride away. Manoj, the manager, can organise all sorts of tours for you. He’s really helpful and kind as are all the staff and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was lovely and very clean and comfortable , it was upstairs at the front with a large balcony looking out on a great view of the mountains and trees. We ate dinner here both nights and the food was excellent . Breakfast was delicious , fruit , toast, masala omelette, popadoms, puttu and fresh juice, choice of tea or coffee. I loved the fact they don’t give you plastic water bottles and have made an effort to be eco, instead they provide drinking water in glass jars. The pool was great, so clean and the temperature was nice for us, so refreshing - great after a day’s tiring hiking. We spent a whole afternoon just swimming and relaxing by it. The whole place is as beautiful as it looks in the photos and we were sorry to leave. Manoj even drove us all the way to Madurai and he was a very safe and careful driver (and nice company) unlike some we’ve had! Don’t hesitate just book, it’s a great place to stay!

Great quiet hotel, with great food, great staff and nice pool in surroundings. It by the backwaters and you can take a canoe to thd beach which is about 7 minutes away which was most perfect and special experience. It was one the cheaper hotels in Marari, but worth every penny and honestly more. Very recommended!
