Pillows are down tyoe and so relaxing. Bed will not move even when your partner turns in bed. The room layout is modern and well throught. Quiet environment. Curtains block the light perfectly well. Community area with good coffee, microwave, oven, ample space to eat and relax outside of your room.

Beppu Hatto Onyado Nono Beppu is set in Beppu, 20 km from Crasus Dome Oita and 12 km from Oita Station. Featuring a restaurant, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Private parking is available on site. New, clean, and beautifully appointed rooms. Onsen and lounge on the top level with unlimited popsicles were superb. The tatami mats throughout and only socked feet allowed in the entire hotel added to the experience. Car park next door was convenient. Right next to busy streets full of restaurants.

Very remote from where the tourists are - I had a car so it was easy to access and easy to drive my big luggage up the hill. Ryokan was very spacious and had all the amenities needed (toiletries, hakata, slippers, extra bedding if needed), and the private onsen was perfect for a dip. Cleanliness was up to standards. Service from the staff was great. I had both dinner kaiseki and breakfast in the main building (only a short 1-2 min walk from my ryokan with private onsen) and it was delicious!

It also boasts a thermal-heated indoor swimming pool. Free WiFi is provided in public areas. • Onsen : The best I've tried so far (together with Gero). Has a really nice smell (unlike Beppu lol) and the temperature is perfect. There are also many different separate onsen baths which you can have for yourself for 1 hour if you ask. • Food : Overall great, standard Kaiseki meal (served in a dining room where each room is separated by a small movable wooden wall) • Staff : Very helpful and gave me the option to opt out of my room and go for a smaller one (cheaper) since my friend cancelled last moment and I ended up alone. • Location : As you can imagine, a great natural onsen is often in the countryside, you do have a bus that goes from Aso station (Kumamoto) all the way to Hakata station (Fukuoka) which stops by Kurokawa which is helpful. The ryokan's staff also pick you up at the bus stop if you inform them of your arrival time.

The hotel was clean, quiet and beautiful! Staff was wonderful and helpful, spoke good english! Bed was huge and we slept so well! Loved the shared kitchen where we could prepare our dinner from 7/11 just down the street.

With a spa and wellness centre, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The property is non-smoking and is set 1.7 km from Kinrinko Lake. The location was perfect for me, 10 minutes walking from the train / bus station and on top of a light hill, so the view from our room was incredibly nice. (This also means that if you are going on foot you have to walk uphill, no big deal for us, but if you have heavy luggage it could be difficult). Both dinner and breakfast were japanese-style, but not too traditional on both taste and texture (I say this as a plus, because my partner is not keen on super traditional Japanese cooking and still managed to eat most of his breakfast). We were also offered non-meat options beforehand, which is great! The building is a mixture of western and japanese styles, so for example the common room has high tables and chairs and a parquet, while the rooms have tatami. Everything was lovely, the common area had a beautiful terrace with a view, our room had a small balcony with outside seats and a private onsen bathtub. The owner is a very nice man and we chatted during dinner. We speak good enough Japanese, so language wasn't a problem, but the owner also speaks good enough English and is very helpful. We had free access to coffee, tea and water from the common room and two complimentary water bottles in the room.

It's really good place for family. There is a dining table and all stuffs are really good. They use Dyson and Balmuda for kitchen stuffs. The stuff is really helpful and very responsive. My family really happy to stay here and hope to come back again!

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and spacious enough for our family of 5. The tub on the porch was amazing. Grilling out on our front porch was very fun and the heaters made it nice and warm even in winter. We enjoyed morning yoga, fire pit s'mores and the free drinks and mocktails from the garden kitchen. There is an incredible park within walking distance. So much fun!

Hacchobaru Power Station Museum is 9.3 km from the bed and breakfast. The hotel felt very warm and the onsens are completely amazing! The rooms are big and the bed was very comfortable. At night, most of the stores and restaurants are closed or fully booked so make sure to reserve a sit in advance. The area in the morning is wonderful and was not crowded at all. We really enjoyed it and we would be glad to visit again in the future.
