With a restaurant, the 3-star inn has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. Guests can make use of a bar. We stayed here while visiting the Japanese Alps. Atsu was really friendly and helped us out a lot. We had to check in a bit later due to delays and also had a last minute diner during our stay. The room was spacious and the breakfast delicious. Really good curry, and was able to accommodate my wife with a gluten free meal for her (celiac). And we also got some really good advice for food for our next stay :). Thanks Atsu!

We loved everything about our stay at Yadoya Shiroganeya. Maki is an excellent host and her mother is an amazing cook! The local food of Nagano was delicious and hand picked by Maki herself. We had fun making friends with the resident pets Fukumaru and Kenta. We were even lucky enough to see snow during our stay, but we were cozy and warm inside at all times. There are so many lovely touches to this property that made it one of the most special places we’ve ever stayed. We hope to visit again!

You can play tennis at this 3-star ryokan, and the area is popular for skiing and cycling. A baby safety gate is also available at the ryokan, while guests can also relax in the garden.
This is a traditional ryokan and therefore it’s important to assess it on its own terms. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it is a lovely place to stay. The staff were wonderful, our room was huge and comfortable, the onsen was beautiful and the food was outstanding. I loved the traditional yukata and samue they provided, and the beauty products in the onsen were great. The location is very good- an agricultural town with fields surrounded by mountains- but it is next to a road so it’s not the most scenic. That said, it is very close to an amazing shrine that is one of the most beautiful holy places I have ever experienced.

Excellent budget hotel with options for rooms / single / capsule style accomodation right in center of city and next to station.
Close to the train station, good budget hotel in a town that is expensive for accommodation and food.
Good location and good price/quality
Good location, good price to value, clean, comfortable living room and bedroom, TV with netflix, wifi is good.
The offered breakfast for Y1,000 was fantastic. Filling and a range of Japanese breakfast offerings. Location was good, with a bus stop right on the corner of the hotel location. Bus could take us into the city centre or up to the snow lifts but stops at 5pm, keep that in mind. Host was fantastic, always friendly and helpful service.
location is great, clean facilities, good price/performance ratio, easy to reach host
Small functional room, for good price. Great location, 2 minute walk to train station. Great breakfast.
What a great surprise. Excellent location, few minutes walk from both bus n train station. We could store all our luggage before check in with ease n come back later. Bedrooms were surprisingly big for a Japanese budget hotel. Enough space even for our snowboard bags. Note that im talking about Japanese standards. Double bed was small but enough for me n my husband ( we are not super big n tall). Everything worked fine and they also have free bikes for rental which is very convenient.
It's a hotel for the budget-conscious, so expectations to be adjusted accordingly. Helpful staff who promptly attended to some AC troubles. It's clean, though very dated. Quite comfortable stay though at a very good price. Good location to Matsumoto Castle and Nawate-dori.
