My stay in this house felt like a dream. The entrance to the room is surrounded by greenery, giving the impression of being in the middle of the jungle. We also had a safari organized with them, led by a young and capable guide, and it was a wonderful experience. Breakfast in the national park was not only very pleasant but also delicious. Dinner, however, was not satisfying compared to other meals we had in Sri Lanka — the portion of chicken was very small, and overall the food felt a bit lacking.

For Sri Lanka, this was exceptionally high-standard accommodation — new, spotlessly clean, and it really gives off hotel vibes. The pool is amazing — large, beautifully maintained, and lit up at night, creating a magical atmosphere. The owner is one of the kindest hosts we’ve ever met — always available, incredibly friendly, smiling, and genuinely helpful. He even accompanied us to the bus stop on our departure day and stopped the bus for us, which we truly appreciated. Breakfast was generous and absolutely delicious. Thank you so much for everything — we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

I had a lovely stay at Green Paradise Cottage, the garden was so beautiful with interesting plants, and the family were really friendly. They gave me traditional Sri Lankan breakfast and also I asked for dinner in the evening which was so welcome having arrived at 7 and travelling by bus to get there. One of the family also ran safaris, so organised it through them really easily and I had an amazing time seeing a whole family of elephants by the lake-very lucky!

The hotel is almost opposite the elephant transit home which you can visit at feeding time. Nite- the transit home only accepts cash.Very pretty gardens in the hotel and friendly staff.
