Hotel Spectrum's central location provides easy access to plenty of restaurants, bars and cultural attractions such as the Munch Museum. Small rooms but the bed was super comfy. The breakfast buffet was really excellent.

All rooms at Scandic Hotel Byporten have wooden floors, a flat screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfast was terrific, choice of American style, continental style, Norwegian style or everything altogether. There was so much food and eye appeal that it was almost impossible not to overeat, (so I did not try). Our room overlooked the harbor and a sculpture of a glacier that changed position with tide. The most important thing was the location. Located almost in the Oslo main train station, it was a short walk to one's room. There was a number of local busses, and tram lines that were equally accessible. If one is using an Oslo pass, this is the place to stay.
