had the entire property ourselves, well equipped kitchen, clean and spacious bathroom with rainforest shower, car can be parked inside the gated property, spacious mater suite with air conditioning, powder room and beautiful views, wonderful and friendly host, Erick spent great amount of time to show us Casa Osa Lion and gave us good recommendations We love having coffee on the upstairs outdoor deck each morning and watching the nature in the sunset time. The outdoor shower experience was refreshing and awesome after a sunny/rainy day at the beach. Casa Osa Lion was a wonderful home away home during our stay in Puerto Jiménez. The location is perfect, just a few minutes drive to the town for dining/grocery etc. We came here for whale watching tour with Phoebe, a marine biologist (Changing Tide Tours) and had the best time. We highly recommend!

Incredible forest view. The hot tub is a must. Also the open shower makes you want to stay all day in there. Can’t decide if I enjoyed it more during the night or during day time. Simply spectacular.

It is an incredible place! There are no windows so the breeze comes in and the temperature was perfectly comfortable. Creatures came in too in the night, as we’d forgotten to lock up the cupboards and refrigerator, and they left perfectly gutted plantain skins on the floor. They also took a bag of tortilla chips out of the cupboard. The sounds of the rainforest are constant- the cicadas, birds, the tremendous pounding of the ocean. It was excitingly eerie at first- the remoteness, the sounds, the lack of contact with the world, but as we relaxed into it, it was transformative. Bring lots of food as the two restaurants are a ways down the road. The road is extremely rutted in places so it takes at least 30 minutes to travel to the main road. There is no WiFi. We stayed six days and had amazing experiences like no other. Orlando was a perfect host- he arranged two amazing tours for us and even brought us some groceries we needed from the store. we were sad to leave. It’s a wild, wonderful experience on an incredible part of the world.
