The property is non-smoking and is situated 12 km from Camosun College. Lovely, comfortable suite with great touches by the family who owns the property. Very clean. There isn't a kitchen space, but there is a microwave, fridge, water dispenser, SodaStream, kettle, teas, and a coffee maker. There is washing up liquid in the bathroom to use in the sink there. Host and her family were very kind and available if anything was needed. They even left treats for me!

The rooms come with a balcony with views of the river. Lovely place for a getaway, really nice to look out on the estuary and watch all the birds and everything else going on. Rusted Rake just down the road is a lovely place to eat too!

They are still working on getting the kitchen set up, so if you are coming in the near future, bring meals and foods you can warm up in the microwave, bagels for the toaster, and don’t forget the ice cream which you can have while enjoying the gorgeous view outside your door. Catherine and Jeff were wonderful to work with and very responsive. All around, a wonderful home base for those planning on exploring the beauty of Vancouver Island.

Thought and care were taken in the decorating of the suite. Many small touches that made us feel welcomed. No detail spared in making our stay comfortable. A well-stocked kitchen and a generous variety of breakfast items provided.

Charming "Brass" & "Apple" theme throughout, befitting its name! Located in a quiet & safe residential neighborhood, and yet, just steps away to a park, restaurants, & market. Cottage was sparkling clean with comfy beds, powerful shower & plush towels. Well stocked kitchen & washer/dryer were super helpful for longer stays. Really appreciated modern conveniences (electronic blinds, night lights in bath) & thoughtful small touches (drinks in fridge, cotton pads/swabs in bath, etc). Most importantly, awesome hosts - friendly, accommodating, and proactive. Highly recommend the cottage and will definitely stay again when we return to the area.
