A real gem of a place, full of character, in a great location. Just outside the the entrance door, you have a cool pool. Open the door on the other side of the living room and you are on a terrace with steps down to the sea. A perfect place to relax and unwind, with decent restaurants within a ten minute walk (catering mostly to locals, Galera was our favourite). Athena was a vey helpful and gracious host, we reported a problem with hot water late on the first evening and by the next morning it was fixed. She even brought us a few vegetables from her garden to make up for the inconvenience. Shops are close and convenient (there is a small shop next door, and a bigger market about ten minutes walk away, towards the bus station). The home was well-equipped, it met all of our needs. Overall, of all the lovely spots we have found in Greece over the years, this was our favourite.

Spacious, clean with a great backyard and a good size pool. Staff was very accommodating and responded quickly when we had questions.

We stayed in the Deluxe Junior Suite, it was even better than in the pictures with a lovely private terrace. We really enjoyed the calm setting with great amenities, it was very relaxing to return here after a day out. The hosts are very friendly, we even got treated to freshly baked goods one afternoon. The room had everything we needed and more, the playground and pool are great for families and there even is a vegetable garden where you can pick whatever you like. Needless to say, I very much recommend Made of Blue!

We loved exploring the surrounding streets for dinners and souvenires, and the locals were so friendly.

The picturesque Vrachos Villas offer a peaceful location in the traditional village of Agia Paraskevi, municipality of Agiou Vasiliou. They overlook the sea and are within easy reach of Crete's most beautiful beaches. The place is lovely. It is very isolated (closest supermarket 20 min driving), which makes it perfect for relaxing. Eleni cooks for the guests every night and the food is absolutely delicious!! You feel like your own family is taking care of you everyday. The location is also very convenient as it is very close to many interesting points in Crete (Preveli beach, Matala, Triopetra, Kourtaliotiko gorge...)
