Representatives of Stay Mikado helped us with all the logistics, since we had to stay overnight in a local hotel for an early next morning speedboat trip to Thimarafushi island. When we got to Stay Mikado, Ameen and his staff took very good care of us for the whole duration of our stay. Ameen and his staff are amazing in hospitality and care for every need. The hotel is situated at a local island and we had a nice and clean double room with breakfast, lunch and dinner included. The food was very tasty and we ate with good appetite. The hotel also has a small gym, SPA room, and on the rooftop there is a large terrace if you want to relax and also with a nice view of the island, where you can enjoy the beautiful sunset. Hotel WiFi is good. Across from the hotel there is a leisure area where you can play table tennis, billiards and some other games. There are free bikes for the guests to use. Stay Mikado has a tourist beach just a few minutes away. We visited it a lot and had long baths in the warm water. Everyday from the hotel you can go by boat on different excursions to nearby islands - snorkeling, diving, fishing and surfing. Prices for the trips ar very reasonable too. The hotel owns a private island that is a must see and is really worth a day trip, including bbq and beautiful beaches, stand up paddle boards, glass bottom kayak etc. Ameen and his staff at Stay Mikado will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and relaxed during your stay in Thimarafushi. We had a really nice vacation and would like to recommend this hotel to people who wants to see the real Maldives.

Six Senses Laamu is a luxury resort surrounded by clear turquoise water and white sandy beaches. Its villas come with a 37-inch flat-screen TV and Bose entertainment system. Rooms offer free WiFi. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were greeted by the friendly and attentive staff who made us feel like VIPs throughout our entire stay. The customer service at this hotel is truly exceptional. When inclement weather prevented us from visiting the nearby islands on our scheduled day, the staff went above and beyond to make alternative arrangements. They quickly secured a hotel just a short five-minute drive from the airport and promptly rescheduled our flights when we expressed concerns about the revised departure time. . Their thoughtfulness and efficiency in handling the situation were truly commendable. The way the staff empathized with our disappointment at losing a day on the island soothes our disappointed hearts! They wasted no time in offering us an upgrade and special perks to compensate for the unforeseen circumstances. Their genuine concern and effort to make things right instantly turned our disappointment into excitement. Once we arrived on the island, we were greeted by a team of enthusiastic staff members who created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Their beaming smiles and genuine hospitality added an extra layer of joy to our vacation. It was evident that they genuinely cared about ensuring we had a memorable and enjoyable time. Throughout our stay, our assigned gem, Hamzath, proved to be a true gem indeed. He took great care of us, ensuring our every need was met. Hamzath went above and beyond to curate unforgettable dining experiences for us, recommending the finest restaurants and providing personalized attention. It was clear that he took immense pride in his work and genuinely wanted us to have the best possible experience. The natural beauty of the island was simply breathtaking. The crystal-clear waters and vibrant colors of the surrounding ocean were truly mesmerizing. We were thrilled to discover that we could easily indulge in snorkeling right from our room.

We spent 9 days on the island of Kudahuvadhoo. All perfect. The hotel is perfect, very well located, the rooms are large and spacious, the room was very clean, the beds very comfortable. The hotel has everything you may need during your stay, it has a cafe-restaurant attached. All the employees are very kind, friendly, polite, they help you with everything you need. The wifi works perfect. The food's restaurant is good, the fresh juices are great. The activities offered by the hotel are amazing, I especially recommend the Laguna cruise and Dolphin cruise. The island of Kudahuvadhoo is beautiful, safe, has local grocery stores, clothing stores and a bookstore, it also has a supermarket where you can find anything you may need. The island has two spectacular beaches (both a 5-minute walk from the hotel), on these beaches you cannot wear bikini, but it is not inconvenient because the hotel offers you the excursion going to a sandbank or island where you can wear bikini. .It is wonderful to walk and enjoy these beaches. Kandima is located on a big island with plenty of activities and a huge beach that is not crowded at any moment. Despite its size, the place offers a lot of privacy, amazing views and some of the best seafood buffet we’ve had. Staff is incredibly kind, quick and efficient. I loved our ground floor studio with direct access to the beach and a terrace with a swing but also enjoyed the stylish water villa with more space and private swirl pool, a touch of luxury for sure. I highly recommend it to couples or families with kids as it was extremely kid-friendly.
