We really enjoyed our stay. The first night we had a room with a bed which was rather soft. Very personal, but we don't like soft beds at all. The next morning they tried their best to shuffle some rooms around so we could change rooms and have a different bed more to our liking. The staff is super friendly and tries to make sure your stay is fantastic! Hostal La Minga is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in Chaitén where guests can make the most of its private beach area and garden. We stayed in the cabin rather than the main house and loved it. Beds are super comfortable, shower has lots of hot water and good pressure and everything runs off solar there so although portable phone chargers were de rigeur and wifi didn't always work in our room, it was always perfect in the main house. The kerosene heater heated up the place in no time and it stayed toasty warm. Lots of blankets, too, if you prefer that. Klaus and Marcela are wonderful hosts and we enjoyed a couple of excellent home cooked dinners with them as both are excellent cooks. Breakfasts are equally delicious as bread and spreads are homemade and their coffee is some of the best we've had in Chile. Really, our hosts are what made it truly special to stay there. They are delightful, friendly people and they went out of their way to help us with some issues we had with our car rental. Klaus speaks excellent English in case your Spanish is as shaky as mine. The hostel is located a couple of km outside town, but it has a lovely stony beach just a 3 minute walk away for relaxing and watching the sunset and looking for seals and dolphins. Very peaceful. Due to issues with the satellite reception, we had to pay in cash, and we had no luck with the only ATM in town, so prepare accordingly.

The location is perfect, especially if you are traveling by bus. The hostal is really comfortable, warm and the staff is super nice.

Matic Apartments is a self-catering accommodations located in Punta Arenas, just 492 feet from the coast. Nice and clean rooms with kitchen facilities. Quite spacious as well. Good Wi-Fi connectivity

Hostal Chucaita Puerto Cisnes is a recently renovated homestay in Puerto Cisnes near Puerto Cisnes Beach. At the homestay, every unit is equipped with a patio. Spacious, very clean, good furniture, excellent kitchen. Friendly and helpful host. This is essentially a 3 bedroom apartment, with individual rooms rented out. We were alone so had a lot of space to ourselves, probably would feel a bit crowded with other people around, as the private rooms are rather small.

Providing a terrace, Ruta 7 Coffee & Lodging features accommodations in Villa Maniguales. Staff was amazing! The coffee was excellent and postres were all baked in the restaurant and were delicious. It was a very home like atmosphere.

Casa Celeste is a recently renovated homestay in Punta Arenas near Playa Colon. Housed in a building dating back to 1956, this homestay features free Wifi and free private parking. Felipe is a wonderful host. He bakes tasty fresh bread every morning for breakfast and has a very friendly cat. My friends and I were very comfortable staying here. Thank you for the pisco.
