We absolutely loved the friendliness and attention of the hosts. Trish took great care of us, especially my daughter, giving her time with the horses and donkeys and making her feel part of the family atmosphere they have in the stables. Unfortunately, Jon was not there during our stay, but still maintained an excellent job with the communication.

Boasting heated pool, Seahawk Lodge is set on the beachfront in Whitley Bay. This campground offers free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. The caravan was so well equipped - my sister and I felt like we were staying in a family home rather than just a holiday home. Great location for the beach and a short drive to restaurants shops. Communication with Janice our host was excellent and access couldn't be simpler. Janice left us fresh milk and treats - so welcome after a longish drive. The bonus for us - Pet friendly. We hope to return again - there is so much to see and do in the area. It is possible to buy a pass to use the resort facilities - although we did not.

Boasting accommodation with a heated pool, Jock's Place is situated in Whitley Bay. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace. The caravan was easy to find, lovely little place, clean tidy, and will consider staying again.

Set in South Shields, 800 metres from Sandhaven Beach and 11 km from Stadium of Light, South Shore Guest House offers accommodation with free WiFi in a historic building. I absolutely loved my stay there. The room was spotless and very cosy. Both my mum and I slept very comfortably and we're both fairly picky when it comes to bed and pillows. The bathroom was spacious and very clean. We had a full english breakfast on both days and it was wonderful as well. But the real gems are the owners. I haven't had much time to chat with Andrew but he was so helpful when we first arrived and Lorraine is an absolute sweetheart. My mum, who doesn't speak English, couldn't stop telling me how wonderful and welcoming Lorraine was and I think she was fairly jealous she couldn't have a chat with her. I would totally recommend this place and I will definitely come back in the future if my travels take me to South Shields again.

Situated just less than 1 km from Sandhaven Beach, The Clifton offers accommodation in South Shields with access to a terrace, a bar, as well as a housekeeping service. I have had a very nice stay in this hotel. One of the best this year so far.
