We got upgraded to a full apartment when we arrived and the owner was kind enough to visit us and ask us about our stay. I must say I felt very welcomed and the facilities were incredible. The place is very well located and it is the perfect spot to stay. Would surely repeat if I have the chance.

Marbakki was a very beautiful, secluded property. My family and I loved the design of the house - it was very cozy and made us feel right at home. The villa had a lot of great touches including a well stocked kitchen (various spices, coffee pods, etc.) and yoga mats. The rooms were small, but the beds were very comfortable. Although there is only one bathroom, it was spacious and very clean. The outside deck overlooking the ocean and the hot tub were amazing. We enjoyed sitting and relaxing in the hot tub while taking in the ocean and mountain views. I highly recommend taking an evening or morning walk on the beach! Our family really enjoyed this villa and we will keep it on our list for future Iceland trips!

Set in the quiet countryside of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, this family-run guest house is 45 minutes’ drive from Stykkishólmur town centre. Larger guesthouse with onsite restaurant. We stayed in a quadruple room with private bathroom. Room was large and clean with electric kettle in room. Included breakfast was good and a nice way to start the day.
