As a female solo traveler, it's always nice to meet new people whom you can trust and feel safe with. This was definitely the case at Karibu House! Both Vanessa and Cristina are amazing hosts. Actually, the best ones I ever met. When they went out for drinks or activities they always invited the guests and included everyone. They also organized a BBQ, dancing class etc etc. Thank you ladies for being so amazing. My Zanzibar experience would not at all have been the same without you and our family! If I ever go back to Zanzibar, I'll make sure I'll see these ladies again and bring some nice white wine for Vanessa 😉 Besides the vibe, it's nice little spot in between the main road and beach so excellent location. The rooms are tidy, there's a refrigerator and you can use the kitchen and laundry machine which is also a bonus.

At the bed and breakfast, the units have bed linen and towels. A small paradise oasis with 11 beautiful rooms located around a perfectly sized swimming pool. The hotel feels like brand new and is very well maintained. You can almost feel the owners' love for their hotel. WiFi is good. The water pressure in the showerroom is very good, and amazingly hot water is coming from your private heater. The pool and garden area are so comfortable that you almost forget that you are not alone in this world. There is a small restaurant/bar with a short menu if you feel to stay in. The host and staff are amazing. If you have requests, they are following you up immediately (not as in many hotels, where they smile and say yes, but nothing actually happens).
