We LOVED everything!! Russel is the kind of model host that everyone wishes to meet while on holidays! He's available and ready to listen to your plans and offer wonderful suggestions to make them better! The location is impeccable near the waterfront of the small authentic fishing village Marsaxlokk with bus stops at a 1min or 5min walk. Lots of nearby restaurants (I especially recommand the one downstairs)! I must say that the duration of the bus travels to visit other places in Malta is to be taken onto consideration but coming back to La Reggia and enjoying the full moon in Marsaxlokk waterfront made it all worth it! The breakfast on the terrace is an amazing way to start the day in Malta with great views of the fishing boats and 3 rich breakfast options proposed by Russel. The room was comfortable and spotless clean with room cleaning done every day. I recommand staying there without any hesitation!

Great location on the waterfront, beautiful view of the harbor, great spot to watch all the activity from the balcony - perfect with morning coffee or relaxing in the afternoon with a book. The rooms are very nice, with clean modern furnishings. Comfortable bed and really nice bathroom. This place is small but beautifully and efficiently designed for comfort. Small touches were appreciated - adaptors, tea kettle, bottle of wine and corkscrew, clothespins. They’ve thought of everything! The breakfast buffet was basic, with a small selection of hot dishes on request, and excellent cappuccino! Mariella and Roland were kind and helpful hosts. We enjoyed Marsaxlokk with its many seaside restaurants offering fresh seafood, and the daily market. Overall a very enjoyable stay, and I recommend Shipwrights Lodge without hesitation!

Easy to reach the airport, visit other cities like Valletta, etc. Just bear in mind buses are not perfectly on time (cost: 2 EUR per adult, kids were never charged) - SPAR is a 10 min walk from the apartment - There is another nice shop/bakery called Sea Coast Confectionary (highly recommended) - ST. Peters pool is a 30 min walk. You can use BOLT or UBER (it will take 7 mins or less) - Ballut ta' beach is alright, but would instead recommend Pretty Bay (approx. 12 mins by bus) - Don't buy sweets at the Marsaxlokk market, total scam

The localization was great! We had a small balcony from which we could see the fishing harbor and we loved to seat there for a morning coffee and evening wine. The facade of the building is so beautiful that lots of people stopped to make a photo in front of it. We were very happy that we live inside such an interesting building! :-)

Its paid, but Im ok with that as people like to waste if thing are for free. Susan is very helpfull host, she respond all our questions fast aand help us out ones when we need it. I would definitely come back.

This is a traditional fishing village, I would recommend buying the 7 day bus pass which gives unlimited bus travel, you need to buy bottled water to drink and use in the kettle., The room was comfortable and cleaned thoroughly.
