The owner made Indian breakfast for us, it was awesome! The place was really clean, actually, the cleanest apartment we stayed in, even comparing to hotels we stayed in later on. The air conditioning was really good and the wifi worked very well. The place is also close to the beach and not far from the main shopping area. The trip by tuk tuk takes 5 minutes and the lady called it for us, so it was really easy to get around. There were a couple of restaurants nearby with tasty Indian food.

Cannot recommend it enough. All the staff were so so friendly and helpful, it's in a perfect location and the rooms are amazing. The bathrooms and bedrooms are super clean. We stayed for quite a few nights and extended for an extra day we loved it so much! We've been in India for three months and this is one of the best places we have stayed.

There is a private entrance at the boat for the convenience of those who stay. The boat has family rooms as well as facilities for disabled guests. This was hands down the best experience of our whole India trip in the South! We met Jose first through staying at his homestay and he was incredibly hospitable and kind, chatting with us and giving us heaps of advice! This is Jose's own Houseboat that he booked and arranged for us and the whole experience was just incredible. The boat itself is a great size as it gives you the privacy you need for a couple staying overnight and it also allowed us to travel through narrower waters where they weren't any other tourists!! The backwaters were so beautiful and we had so much fun enjoying the view and the boat. The room in the boat is super clean, well maintained and there is even hot water and an AC machine!! This was luxury for us haha but it was super nice and we would highly recommend staying here. As well as this, the captain and the cook were also on board and they were the friendliest and kindest people ever! The captain talked away with me as I had endless questions and the chef is such a great funny guy, and showed us all these exercises and we even went for a swim with him! Also the food that we got served on the boat for breakfast, lunch and dinner (and also snacks) were AMAZING and traditional kerala style! It was all SOO YUMMY and me and my boyfriend were super satisfied 😋 Overall, Jose was the best host and this Houseboat experience was our best experience so far in the South. Thankyou Jose for everything!! ⭐💗

The day we reached our kids were sick bad cold fever and Amma the host suggested some medicines. Arranged hot drinking water as and when required as we adults were also bad with cold. Did arrangements of activities if . The best place we stayed in the whole of Kerala tour. All credits to Amma.... Her hospitality made us stay a day extra. Best place for family with very reasonable rate.

We loved our stay at Maliyeckal Homestay, such a peaceful spot. The host family were so kind and helpful and wanted us to enjoy our stay and enjoy Munnar. Breakfast and dinners were great. About 10 minutes walk from the bus stop so easy to get in and out of Munnar once you get the hang of it.
