Walking distance to main road with some nice restaurants within 30 mins. Information booklet in the room was helpful. Help to rent mopeds, organise transport, guides etc. The room was spacious, bed was really comfortable, hardly any creepy crawlies (this is a complaint from many of the eco lodges). Good wifi. 2 fans which was nice. Good shower pressure and temperature.

Finca la Magia is a jungle hostel on a small organic farm located just outside San Ramon, 40 km from Moyogalpa.

A continental breakfast is served each morning at the property. Helpful & welcoming staff. We had the option to upgrade to air conditioning for an extra $10/night. It was hot, so we took it. The staff connected us to reasonably-priced & trustworthy scooter rentals, so that was a real bonus. They also prepared a breakfast for us at short-notice when we realized we wanted to catch a ferry at a certain time, so that was appreciated. Other reviews mention "sketchy characters" around, but nobody bothered us out on the streets at all. Definitely recommended!

The lake is on your doorstep with views of the volcano to your right and a great sunset bar to your left. An island paradise with lovely dogs, chickens, a cat, ducks along with a friendly and helpful owner. Scooter access is 100% okay! There is a restaurant next door but if you want to go to others it’s a close 10min drive. Look no further and stay here!

Very friendly owners with great communication. They make lovely meals. Room was basic but everything was clean and neat and there is a fan for the warm weather. Would definitely return.
