Beautiful guesthouse on the Clarence River with friendly hosts and great inclusions. Had dinner and breakfast which allowed mixing with other guests. Went for a kayak before breakfast and the lovely new kayaks were all ready for us on the slipway.

Great town with all the facilities you would expect in a larger regional town. Right on the river there are some great little spots to fish, sit and look at the river and its occupants go by or have a picnic with a significant other lots to do and see around Grafton.

It was close (within walking distance to the big shopping centre) and it was simple to find.
The staff were lenient and patient and when I asked for a ground floor room she gave it to me. The shower looked nice also.

Ann and David were perfect hosts.
Ann and David were perfect hosts. I wish we had stayed here on our way to Queensland before. Would definitely recommend this B&B to my friends. The cooked breakfast was really good.
The cuppa and home made cake David made was an extra treat on our arrival.
Will stay again for sure. Ros & Keith xx

Room was an old dump, lounge was dirty carpet was stained.
Room was an old dump, lounge was dirty carpet was stained. Kitchenette was from the 60's. Water in bathroom basin only had hot, shower needed a good scrub, mould on shower ceiling. No air con in main living area. Window that looked onto motel walkway curtains did not cover properly so people could see in when they walked past.
Very over priced & over rated by others, are you sure they actually stayed there. Bates hotel would have been better.
Town was on valium. Where has the old charm of Grafton gone?
I would give Grafton a big miss.

Sadly it was raining the time we were there which limited what we were able to do. But we walked the main street and had brunch with friends who live there, who we had gone to see on our way home from our big trip South. It looks like a lovely town.
Abbey Inn was a beautiful Motel. Obviously the rooms have been renovated and were very comfortable, with a lovely leather lounge. The bathroom was exceptional, and the shower was the best I have ever experienced, even after travelling extensively overseas. Our family had 3 rooms at the Motel, and everyone commented on the showers. The Motel was close to shops, and within walking distance of the venues we needed. If we have the need to travel to Grafton again, we will certainly use the Abbey Motor Inn.
The location was perfect for this trip between Sydney and the Sunshine Coast. Given the floods further north, it was just the rght distance from Sydney, as we didn't know how bad the conditions would be for travelling. We had not stayed there for several years because of the new road from Glenugie to Ballina but the excellent facilities in the new units at Heritage River Motor Inn are so good that we will probably divert off the M1 to Grafton in the future to stay at this motel.
Andavine House is a great stopover if you travel with your dog. You have half the house and deck. It is very private and comfortable and the dog is welcome to stay inside with you in his own bed. Anne and David were so lovely and welcomed us upon arrival. Brekky is included. Hugo (the dog) and I loved staying there. The town center is a short stroll away and you can park the car on the property. Can highly recommend iAndavine House. Thanks, Anne and David for your hospitality.
We stayed overnight on our way to a conference on the Gold Coast. It was two thirds of the way and a nice place to stop. The owner very friendly and set up self contained from main house. Breakfast is only continental and self serve - other B&Bs are more substantial re breakfast. In fairness to owner it may a left over from COVID as she is very concerned not to get it.
Very happy with our stay at the Grafton Central Motel. Excellent value for money. We travel regularly through that area heading north and will definitely use this motel in the future. Highly recommend it to other travelers. Close to the shopping plaza and the center of town.
Staff was friendly and very informative. The motel location itself was okay although it is far from the central Grafton area, but assuming you have car should be okay coz its only a short drive there. Price was fair too (I would say relatively cheaper perhaps)
Loved the building and era it was built, beautifully clean, well furnished. Comfortable beds… Walking distance to shops and eateries, pub right opposite if you didn’t feel like walking. Off street parking behind building to easily unload car.
Unit was a converted house on the property which provided a large, outdoor space under the verandah which also included an outdoor setting of table and six chairs.
Main bed was huge, firm and very comfortable.
Lovely linen and comfortable bed with separate bedroom. Nice to have a decorated hotel room. Good to have basic kitchen facilities too. Everything was very clean. Was a great stay on a road trip.
Great location next to the river and the pub - we were in a separate building out the back of the hotel so noise wasn't a problem. Room was fairly basic but comfortable.
easy access from the road, a short drive into town. would stay again when next in town for work. Couldn't hear the road that is just 50 metres from the hotel.
