This was the most memorable stay we have ever had. The effort and what the hosts have done is superb. The tent was decorated with special touches. The breakfasts are magnificent.

This was a last minute booking due to our host having to cancel our reservation elsewhere. Location was great. Our room was at the back, well away from the main road, very quiet. Parking was easy. The staff were all accommodating and friendly. Our room was clean. Bed was really comfortable.

Our hostess Maree was absolutely lovely. The location was perfect for us as we were able to completely disconnect from technology. The expansive Australian outback, uninterrupted sunsets and sunrises were spectacular. Our accommodation and all the facilities were spot on for us. As a full working Sheep Station, watching the sheep being run into the pens was a bonus. Drinks and a fire under the stars was a definite highlight.

Ilfracombe was very central for us to see the area.

Ilfracombe was very central for us to see the area. We first went East to Barcaldine for the day and saw the Tree of Knowledge and visited the Heritage Centre which was a fabulous history of the labour movement in Australia; spent a wonderful day north, driving the amazing sculpture trail and visiting the Town of the white bull - Aramac; and, finally we drove west to Longreach to see the Qantas museum and Stockman's Hall of fame. There is also stuff to see in Ilfracombe, including the live machinery exhibit, Langbaker House which is apparently worth seeing as it is an authentic rather than a recreated local house, and the Folk Museum which we didn't see. Wouldn't have missed any of it.
