Russell Falls is a beautiful area and well worth the trip out to see the amazing waterfalls. Spacious cottage with good facilities and walking distance to entrance of national park. Appreciated getting the early heads up about the local tavern being closed so we could prepare for meals accordingly. Electric blankets and bed were extremely comfortable.

Were greeted by the alpacas. We sat outside and watched the night sky. Got up in the morning and walked to see the platypus nearby. It was so peaceful and a lovely weekend away!

Merino Cottage Meadowbank Lake is a destination and sanctuary. Driving through the merino farm to get to the Cottage was a wonderful experience. There is plenty of heaters and extra blankets, a TV, books and games to enjoy. We arrived to a lovely warm house equipped with fresh milk, orange juice, a variety of cereals, bread and condiments. The pantry also had extra condiments which is great when you are travelling as this property is on a working farm so not near shops. We had the most restful and relaxing stay. Only a few weeks before our April stay, people had visited who swam in the nearby waterhole! We really appreciated having a washing machine and dryer available, as we were moving around Tasmania and not always had those facilities. PIP is a great host & we loved meeting her and hearing about the history of the farm and her family’s connection to the area. All in all, this is a fabulous place to stay.
