Location was excellent to trips and restaurants. The manager was lovely and friendly. The roaring fire was great. Short stroll to local amenities. Enjoyed the history of the house.

We had been upgraded to an amazing room with a spectacular view. It was very warm and we had a wonderful time even though it was the beginning of winter. A wonderful opportunity to sample Strahan with a view of the whole bay.

The room was clean and new. We arrived much later than expected but John helped us to our room.

All the comforts of home. Close to a convenience store, pharmacy, soon to be finished petrol station, and a 10 minute walk down to the harbour area for the Gordon River cruises, local pub and coffee shops.
Fabulous show: The Ship That Never was. Even though it was a cold night, there were rugs to keep us warm and so much laughter and fun that we didn't even notice the rain outside.
The next day we took the Gordon River tour which included the Sarah Island guided tour, another entertaining and incredibly informative time was had by all..a perfect follow on from the show the night before.
I recommend doing both river tour and riverside show to learn about Strahans colourful history.

Really enjoyed doing the Gordon River Heritage Cruise, it was informative and so much wonderful things you wouldn't get to see if you didn't do it. The Captain and staff were lovely and it was a really relaxing day. Highly recommend visiting the Huon Pine Historic Mill and shops as well. The town itself is very small and seems to be run mostly by a few families. So not a lot of restaurant or cafe options. I found the Strahan Village buffet restaurant 42 Degrees that was touted as the gourmet option in town as very average for the price.

Strahan is worth visiting for the Gordon River Cruise and the play, The Ship That Never Was. There is a small nature walk to a small waterfall that is an easy walk. There is a small beach just outside of town as well. Dining options are limited, suggest View 42 buffet, reservations required.

Strahan was a quaint little town with not an awful lot to see and do, but what there is, is worth the visit. We had only the one full day in Strahan - for the river cruise (stayed in town for 2 nights): if we had the time again, we’d allow a second day for local sight-seeing and the train ride. We were exceptionally fortunate with the weather, making the day cruise truly memorable, including some absolutely beautiful scenery and a fascinating tour of the convict settlement on Sarah Island.
Unfortunately, the seafood buffet at ‘View 42 Degrees’ was fully booked out, so we’d advise phoning ahead for that!
We weren’t entirely sure if we’d visit Strahan as part of our Tasmania trip as it was a little ‘out of our way’: we are now glad that we made the effort!

We loved everything we did in Strahan - from staying in the King Suite in the Wilderness Lodge, to the World Heritage Cruise on the Gordon River, The Ship That Never Was play, Hogarth Falls and sunsets over the water on Beach Rd.
The locals were fanatastic too - do yourself a favour and go there !

Strahan is a beautiful place
Strahan is a beautiful place
Our accommodation was far to expensive for what we got
I have stayed there before and it was wonderful
We will not be back!
The owners are too greedy
We would not recommend this property to any one
A wonderful example of the beautiful heritage and history that is rich in Strahan and Tasmania!! The home is warm and welcoming and Thomas was excellent!! The manor is furnished with period decor, beautiful ornaments and paintings. Take the history tour and check out the view from the widows walk!! Very generous continental breakfast! lovely bathrooms, linens and toiletries.
We enjoyed the view of the cove and distant Strahan village from the second storey 'apartment'. Kitchenette was small but adequate. The whole place was a little dated and needed a bit of TLC including the driveways with their potholes. The restaurant has a lovely view but has a small menu and is quite expensive for what and where it is.
Castaway Holiday Apartments were a good option for a couple of nights in Strahan. Our apartment was quite spacious and clean. Necessary amenities were provided, there is also a laundry and bbq available for use if required. Apartment was a comfortable walk to wharf and cafes, restaurants.
Very nice accommodation in Strahan. The room was super clean and spacious enough for 2 with a nice kitchenette that included some breakfast items. Close to town, restaurants and the Gordon River Cruises. Very private and peaceful, it was great for the one night we spent.
Nice and clean & cosy place to stay heating was good for rainy cold nights & days. Beds were comfy. Although it is not on the water front but not too far away if you wanted to walk. We had a great stay for a short 2 nights it suited our family of 4 well. We would stay again
Everything was fine. Property is a little dated but comfortable enough. Our room was large The buffet dinner was excellent. Parking available outside. Heater worked, hot water plentiful. Easy access to sightseeing and Strahan village
The cabins are larger than a standard hotel room. Very comfortable with 3 zones in an open plan . Kitchen/dinning, lounge / TV and bedroom, a large spacious bathroom takes up a quarter of the floor plan. Heating worked well.
it was like being at a cosy family home.
Lincoln Franklin Manor manager couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly and an all round great guy.
The kitchen staff and others who help run the Manor also do an excellent job.
Loved the style and design, perfectly curated to suit the location. Wish more Tasmania accomodation was at this level! The location was close to everything but you do need a car in Strahan. Highly recommend.
It was so quiet and serene.
The family of ducks were gorgeous.
The seal playing in the harbour was great entertainment.
A lovely peaceful place not far from the restaurants etc in Strahan
You feel very safe here because the Strahan Police Station is right next door! It is a big place with MANY cabins. The whole place is neat clean and well-kept. The cabin is clean and comfy.
Location is very pleasant. View to the harbour, great! Room was comfy & clean. Breakast provisions were very good. Would definitley stay there again if visiting Strahan.
